We are super excited to announce the latest installment of the Injustice franchise, Injustice 2, coming in 2017. As the sequel to 2013’s Injustice: Gods Among Us, we wanted to come out swinging. We’re doing all of the things you’d expect from a sequel. We’re adding new characters, new environments, and we’re taking environment destruction and interaction to the next level

But we didn’t want to stop there. At NetherRealm, we always want to make games that are fun, challenging and innovative. We strive to give players a level of control that makes playing our games a truly personal experience. For that reason, we have introduced a brand new Gear System, allowing players to build their own version of Superman, their Batman and ultimately, their Injustice Universe.

The Gear System uses RPG-like mechanics to reward you with loot drops every time you play the game. With each loot drop, you will earn character-specific gear to outfit and power up your roster – changing not only the look of each character, but your fight strategy and your personal approach to every match. As you gear up your characters, you’re building a roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains that reflects your choices, and your preferences, which can be vastly different than your opponents. A few play sessions in, you can expect your Aquaman to look and play different than anyone else’s Aquaman you may come across.

Same, super keen! Hopefully there will be another special edition with a statue or something haha. All I've seen is mention of skins for the characters.

Didn't realise it was a direct continuation from the first Injustice until I watched the trailer either.

Storyline cut scene videos have hit youtube the past few days.

I've been super keen on it for months, just the past few days with how much money I've spent on games I'm like well maybe I should hold off ?

The first Injustice was a day 1 purchase, but I never purchased the DLC. I purchased the pc version when it came out (with all of the DLC attached). I'm kind of thinking while I might miss out initially and no doubt be spoiled with the story if I did wait. I could save money and just get the GOTY/GOLD edition at Christmas time.

Who am I kidding ? By the end of the week I'll have purchased it .

Pretty sure the full(?) story mode with cut scenes is available on the mobile version. I've seen 3 so far but stopped myself as I'd rather experience it on the console

NUFC Tiger how long is the story mode usually on this game? never played injustice one and have recently got into more dc from movies and tv shows and started reading batman/flash/green arrow rebirth titles

I think i saw its about 5-6 hours minimum which is a long one for fighting games. Marvel V Capcom is going to be 2hrs long.

EDIT: is Flash any good i dropped that after like issue 6. Green Arrow has been amazing. Would also recommend Wonder Woman, Nightwing and Detective comics

yeah the flash and batman have been crossing over trying to solve the whole thing from rebirth

Yeah i have the 2 Button issues of the Flash, just not had time to read them yet. but i didnt like the first arc and dropped it after that. Did it improve.

only just recently started so no idea. picked it up as i was recommended it. not the person to ask because im not sure how flash's story's usually are in the comics. what are the detective comics? and will look at wonder woman and nightwing

Detective Comics is a Batman comic. since rebirth its Batman and Batwoman running a team and training them. The team started with Red Robin, Spoiler, Orphan and Clayface. Clayface is trying to be good now. There has been a few changed to the team in the last year [If you have read the Button you will know of at least one]

I think the Flash has been really good but it's the only one I've kept up with so far so I might be a bit biased.

Got Justice League ready to start sometime and have been thinking about starting Batman and Green Arrow.

Yeah would agree with aussiedude's estimate of about 5-6 hours. Depending on difficulty and how good you are at fighting games I suppose. In the first game there was also an arcade mode where you could play each character and get a short, unique ending for all. That'll probably make a return for Injustice 2 I'd assume.

Injustice had such an awesome story behind it and I wasn't even sure how they could seemingly up the stakes with a sequel but I think they've found a way (going off the story trailers). If you want to get up to speed you can watch 'injustice the movie' (basically all the cut scenes together) on youtube. The game even span off it's off comic series.

Think the game is sitting on 88 on Metacritic which is pretty encouraging!
