Reading a article saying we are targeting JJ from bulldogs and this once again proves that our recruiting is shit. We need to target position that we need. We have dozens of back flankers. We need a midfielder and a small pocket and a key position forward.
Get M McGovern, B Matera and I'm not sure about the midfielder but we need someone with pace and skill.

Being a small forward at the Suns would be quite shit, small forwards are a need which has been identified by everyone, so Matera would be a good get if he isn't too expensive.
since when has third talls been a needed position for us.
To me JJ at the right price is way more valuable than McGovern Jr. We lack pace and he has pace, we lack run from defence and he would certainly help. He could also be played on a wing. He provides way more value than a masten and play at a way high consistency than Jetta. He also has a knack of finding the footy and we kinda lack that. Third talls like Mcgovern are not high priority and you can get away with an average player in that role.

Yeah your right. I hear you, we need a true key forward but I guess drafting is the best option for that as key forwards are gold and hard to obtain.
Use our first pick on that.
I dont think we lack pace in defence. Yeo isn't slow as with Sheppard and Wellingham. Even Watson could fit in a slot if given a chance. Our defence isn't a problem at all. Probably the one area that's ok with depth.
If we were to play JJ on a wing I would prefer that.
I always thought he was a back flanker but yeah imagine the cost for him. Would he be worth it. Wouldn't give up our first pick as we need that for a key forward.

I agree that a 3rd tall isn't a pressing concern unless you wanted Darling to play further down the ground for some reason (or Gov jr) or wanted him pushed out of the lineup. 4 talls including the resting ruckman might be too much.
JJ probably only required if we play him on the wing since we already have Yeo, Nelson, Watson and maybe Rotham.

I've seen a little bit of him this year and I'd gladly welcome him if the deal was right. maybe 1 mil 2 year deal. I'd imagine he'd want a longet contract though.

re-signed last year. 2 year contract. wanted a longer contract but with CBA negations the club wasn't prepared to offer him a longer contract.

Don't mind this as long as we get something decent back, he's nowhere near as damaging with the ball as he used to be and although he can run all day it's at one speed.

As far as statistics comparisons go they're pretty close.
I'd like to know the "pressure acts" for each player, like that article on Jack Darling had. He was named as number one in the comp, it'd be nice to be able to see these stats - is there anywhere for that?

I rate "pressure acts" stats with a lot less importance since reading "corralling" counts as a stat for this.
