Has anyone checked the dumpster for empty GL Biochem boxes?

13 wins feels around the mark, which could sneak us in around sixth the way things are going. If we play like tonight every week make that 15 wins and lock in the home final (we are not a chance for top 4). If we play like the Melbourne game more often than not, make it 10-12 wins and we miss out.
If we knock off the swans in sydney in a fortnight (I don't expect that we will), then the lid will be off.
There are winnable games against Brisbane, Collingwood, North, Carlton, the Suns and Freo before the year is out. Can the team handle going in as favourites?
My gut says that the round 23 game against the Dockers will decide if we make it or not.
Ill go nuts if we can snag an elimination final against the Tigers

That would be so Richmondy to play Essendon in an elimination final, say we finish 5th and you guys 8th. It would be like time travelling back to 2013 and the final that 'would've been', and knowing us we'd lose that too.

I still rib my tigers mates for being the only ever team to lose a final to a team finishing ninth.
They would love the chance to put that one to bed!

It would be massive, but I wouldnt be spending 2 grand and flying 32,000 kms to find out.

It's because they are so inconsistent - champions one week then go MIA the next - maybe they get a bit ahead of themselves at times? If they keep playing the way they do, they will cause plenty of cheek by seasons end as their good games are very very good!
Few games I've seen out of Essendon screams potential and the obvious games they dominate.
Very impressed with the come back of the banned dons, my expectations is that they would have been mentally shot after what they went through with the media and public scrutinising them... they look mentally stronger which is impressive and kinda scary, we've all seen clubs go into the deep abyss for years from "lesser" scandals.
Their games with West Coast and Port remind me of the 07-09 style of play free flowing and they could not do anything wrong.
Not sure if they can get the consistency up for this years flag but maybe in the future, going off West Coasts last 7 years I'm not sure if consistency is a guarantee for any side with great potential.

Ha I live in Germany so same problem here. Luckily I've already got flights on 20th august to visit the family for a couple of weeks. If we knock over the tigers in a final while I'm there, it would make that 2 grand seem like a reasonable price to pay for a day out at the footy

The Tigers were in 'crisis' after 3 close losses now they are top 4 'locks'
Adelaide was the best team in the league then lost 2 games an everyone was saying their midfield lacks depth
StKilda were a top 4 chance then lost a couple in a row now people say Richo is under performing.
Buckley was a dead man walking now they could be above us on the ladder on Monday night.
Melbourne were set to explode then lost a couple and we're underperforming
Ross Lyon was cooked then Freo won a handful in a row and they were finals contenders now they suck again.
Port were contenders now people are talking about how they can't beat top 8 teams.
Just shut the **** up and let the season breath. Essendon could lose 4 in a row or be top 4 in a month. Who knows

Worth noting that everyone at Essendon has consistently said they think they'll be better after the bye, in the back half of the year
They almost did. Like, last week. At GWS' home. Lost by a goal and some pretty dodgy umpiring...

I should have phrased they are genuine in terms of having a tilt at finals. Dont think they are premiership material.
Making finals this year would be an achievement of some note given a few, myself included, had them pegged as.bottom 4 material
