Can confirm that SOS's primary target is Matt de Boer. He's willing to accept Josh Kelly in a salary dump to get him.

I agree Harks, not quite the same ring to it. I'm interested to know if Hopper is still a target or not. Would have liked one of the ITK's to mention one way or the other. I'm sure Barass has previously said that SOS was right into Hopper.

It goes to show why SOS took such a tough stand with the Gibbs trade last year when we had no clear target. Instead of accepting a mediocre draft pick for him we can now utilise his departure (if he's still going) to get Kelly. To me, Gibbs would have to be part of this trade if it were to happen.

I would trade our first this year for Kelly only. Keep Gibbs unless adelaide offer us overs. The big difference is Gibbs is contracted. Imagine our midfield with Murphy, Gibbs, Kelly, Cripps, SPS, Cunners ,Fisher and Curnow brothers? Some serious depth

Untouchable young guns - SPS, Marchbank, Weitering, Charlie, Cripps, Plowman, Docherty, Jack obviously.

Could be swayed: Mckay, I'd say unlikely because he just re-signed in the last week. Fisher, just re-signed. Macreadie, hated Sydney apparently so doubt he would approve of a trade back there. Williamson, you would say highly unlikely but if they like him maybe. Cuningham, could potentially be apart of a trade. Polson and Kerr no trade value yet.

Older players they would have a use for:
- E Curnow - probably not what they need.
- Kreuzer - they saw what he could do over Mumford, time for an upgrade?
- Gibbs- obviously they'd take him, but doubt he moves to
- Murphy - they'd take him also, but would be a last option for me, ways to get Kelly without him
- Jones?- well you never know what these last 10 weeks could do to his trade value, they need key backman... unlikely.

I'm excited too, but Murphy, Gibbs and Ed aren't youthful players who are going to improve.

Our midfield is way off from just 1 gun player.

I reckon we keep our first for this year at all costs. Especially if we're in contention for LDU!
