LOL, all you had to point out what that he played two games and got through them well and you would have been right. You actually think I care about the argument?

You just can't see how funny it is using NEAFL and JLT games in your argument, and the fact that you're continuing to argue it is the icing on the cake
except that he did play NEAFL and he did play JLT and he did play four AFL games this year, all of that is true all of that you took offense to.

I do think you care about my argument as you were not quoted in my original post. he played those games, he hasn't missed three years and this year isn't over yet either

my simpleton thoughts on JOM is that he is another unlucky injury prone guy. Theres injury prone elite athletes across all sports that are a victim of genetics and the best medical advice and treatment in the world wont overcome genetics. If JOM gets to 150 games ill be very very surprised

Of course he hasn't missed 3 years of AFL, he played 2 games without any issues. That's all you had to point out, LOL

I've already told you many times why I'm responding, seeing you include practice games. Why are you lot so defensive about this?

I've even agreed with this peanut and he's still arguing bwahahahahahahahaha

Well, we've already got more games from JOM than we did from Mitch Thorp and that waste of a first round draft pick immediately preceded 4 premierships

Why does it matter how many games he's played
Because it means he will never play again, silly.

And he's probably dead.

And we're going to have to "weekend at bernies" him if we want to see him play again.

That's why.

Why is it so hard for hawthorne supporters understands this.

I'll tell you what - when he retires you can come back and poke your tongue and do a little jig and yell I told you so but unfortunately that's not today

How can he retire if he's dead?

He went 4 months training and playing 100% without any issues before he copped the bone bruising 8 weeks ago.

Somehow that adds up to missing 3 straight years.

Training doesn't really mean much. Look at NicNat's instagram, he's training in the US at the moment. He's still miles away from playing in the AFL.

Training does mean much when it's followed up by playing 4 quarters of football.

Whatever nicnat is doing has no relevance, as he indeed has not played football.

you obviously missed the playing part then as it was four months of training and playing without pain

he's back training now and I agree training at this point doesn't mean he will be playing soon

dang it

And right now..considering whats Preceeded Jaeger s stint at hawthorn whatever training he did before 'playing' 4 quarters of football at the start of the year and subsequently nothing since only to return to the same knee issues prior to his four "token" games has no relevance "now"

When did O'Meara play four months of football? He's played 4 games this year; rounds 1-3 and round 6.

My point is what happens in pre-season is pretty meaningless. Nic Nat is indeed not playing footy and that has a lot to do with the timing of his injury. If he did his ACL in round 1 last year instead of round 20 or whatever it was he might've been in full training in pre-season, but that's just a hypothetical. He's doing some pretty intense training at the moment putting big forces on his knee, but he's still not going to slot in to our team next week.

You can talk up how ready and pain free a player is but the only real test is playing footy. So far O'Meara has played 3 games, missed 2, played 1 and missed 8. He has knee soreness in the same knee that has kept him out of footy the previous two seasons. People without a vested interest in his return are going to be skeptical of reports that 'yeah he played and trained fine for months' after two years out given he's played 4 of 15 actual games.

But it's not the same knee issues.

Bloody hell.
