I can see a lot to like but at the same time if Wood is to come back, JZ to play forward its hard to fit all these 'tweeners in as we need 2 legitimate talls and smalls (i.e. 4 in total) in the forward line as well.

Garners point of difference is his hardness, tackling pressure and overhead marking - they are all valuable - he just needs to keep improving.

He's lost his "x-factor" but he has played hardly any footy. No one needs to get the pitch forks out

Garner throws his weight around despite not having the weight. When his muscles catch up to his attitude he will be one scary bastard.

Its seriously just his body, few KGs overweight and its holding him back. You can see something special with him but, hard, quick, beautiful mark and plays like someone crapped in his cereal.

Just wow for this guy. Imagine what he will be like after 100 games and a few uninterrupted pre-seasons. He's a different level footballer and should, in no circumstances be part of any negotiations to get Kelly.

Very much capable of this kind of performance on a regular basis. Just a matter of consistency in preparation. 5 contested marks too. Once he gets his fitness up he will be able to get around the ground and become an outlet and a threat pushing forward.

I thought he'd turn out being a mid teens possession, 1 goal a game half forward type player, but the path he's on, he really does have the potential to be an A-grader. Can rack up the pill, takes (contested) marks all day, tackles like a mad man and kicks goals. Also has the swagger and cockiness to go with it. I honestly think he'll be one of our best players in a few years (if not sooner).

His game was awesome but will he have that impact in a stronger side, or would a stronger side allow him to be consistent across the four quarters.
