Toovey had excellent concentration on his man and shut him out. Not sure Maynard has that.

I was thinking... "This is too good to be true... We will probably find a way to blow this from here"Mate, what were you thinking at 50 points up?

Stop that shit. Your lack of true armchair analytical nouse is disturbing. This is just false.
Put the replay on and freeze the vision from when Langdon kicks the ball.
There are six Pies to five Crows just outside the 50m arc where the ball was kicked.
We had Moore, Wells, DeGoey, Treloar, and Blair who could have contested and Sidey next closest.
We had no easy short option as Dunn tried to run in to shepherd the mark. So long to our numbers and Moore was the play everygame.
Keith and Lynch block Moore from getting a good run at it, and Kelly goes up on his own with Wells and DeGoey just watching him.
With 10 seconds left, the correct decision is to kick long where WE had the numbers.
The problem being NONE of the Pies flew, they all waited for Moore and he couldn't get there.
It was poor from DeGoey and Wells to not contest, it wasn't wrong for Lamgdon to kick long to our numbers.
Always is honestly I can't remember to many times this year he has lost a one on one contest, plays within his limits and to his strengths.
I gave him didaka points. Huge job he did on Sloane? That contribution can't be underestimated. Not much love for Levi. He was fantastic today.

He is arguably the best clamp in the comp. Beggars belief why he isnt doing a job every week.
Higgins next week.
Maynard is still a schoolboy footballer in a lot of ways. Ball watching and seemingly goes at one pace. Not an overly great reader of the game. He'll develop over time but he just needs to know his limitations and play to his strengths. At the moment seems to play with blinkers on.. telegraphs the ball far too often.
I'm referring to Toovs as a kid.. not at his prime. Loved Toovs.. got in the way of everything. It's like we had this ostrich in the backline running left and right making it hard for the opposition to get through.
I hope we keep him next year, best tagger in the comp and can hurt you going forward occasionally, has great hands, did you see 3 blokes on top of him on the back flank late in the last, most players would have dropped the footy somehow he gets a handball out and where away.
Didn't mark it hard for opposition to mark his kicks out of defence, burnt the footy everytime he got it.
I was at my mates house and I said to him at half time "Watch us go to sleep and have them run over the top of us. It's how we roll."I was thinking... "This is too good to be true... We will probably find a way to blow this from here"

Clarkson. And who would you replace him with??

St Kilda: I can't believe we choked that game.
Collingwood:
Hold my beer.
Yeah. There really was a depressing feeling of inevitability about it. I hate finding myself being so jaundiced when watching us play now.I was at my mates house and I said to him at half time "Watch us go to sleep and have them run over the top of us. It's how we roll."
Well that draw now means a top 4 spot is out of the question. As far as mathematics go, is this now season over for us? I can't imagine we'd be able to play finals on 11.5 wins. Not that we'll go undefeated from hereon...

But unless something unusual happens we still get a home final in the first week

Dunn is a decent stop gap.Dunn tries to run.. but can't.
Hopefully he's not there next yr.
If he's there for 'goal square bomb it to the boundary line duties' again next yr.. I'll lose it.
Really has he joined forces with Jake King.Apparently Blair is responsible for all the home invasions happening in Melbourne atm.
Uh oh.. it's on now...
Quick.. someone get them a room
Dunn is a decent stop gap.
He is giving us more than Frost or N.Brown did.
Would be great to have Marsh as an option down back.
