Loved Bucks when he first started, has great energy and enthusiasm but if we are honest lacks a lot as an AFL footballer .... been given plenty of chances, showed some spots of brilliance but never enough to hold a place in a top 8 team.
To me and it's just my opinion, he doesn't seem to have that inner drive needed to go that extra step to reach where he needs to be. Great clubman though and I am sure people will miss him. To me he is the joker of the group .... not serious enough to make it to a level that the CFC needs in its players moving forward.
I wish him all the luck .... except if he goes to the scum.

What I'd give for a legit rumour from one of these guys...I've got too much scepticism for any other rumour posters.

Whilst in Melbourne last week, I picked up a few very average snippets, nothing of real substance or new but here goes :
1. Two separate sources (both normally pretty good) spoke about Kelly, one said he is already in the door, the other said we are not at all interested in him so I am more confused than ever on that one.
2. Was told to expect two retirements later this year, obviously one is now Armfield so we'll watch with baited breath if there is another.
3. Regardless of whether John Barker gets the GC coaching position, there should be 2 new faces on the overall coaching panel, nothing to do with mass sackings etc, just a maintenance thing, new voices & new ideas to freshen up the strategies & introduce some new plans.
4. The board/club/administration share concerns about our inability to grow the membership base and don't want to wait & rely on bandwagon-type supporters signing up when we start to win more games, the 50K figure seems like an impenetrable ceiling right now, this is in stark contrast to the Tigers who have continually had record numbers without onfield success for over 30-years. Some believe that the redevelopment of Princes Park back to an active quality AFL/VFL/AFLW playing venue is the best way to reach new levels.
5. Nothing new here but Casboult is gone, he'll be lowballed into leaving and 8 fringe players will be delisted, throw in the two mooted retirements and there should be 11 changes to the list overall (rookies included).

Also, I have been told we have tabled (pick 1/2, Our 2018 1st & Levi compo pick for Kelly and Whitfield/Hopper. If GWS budge, expect this done in a heartbeat otherwise we may have to fight this out to the end
