I quite like Rockliff for a bit of campaigner and have always felt he's a better resting forward option than our existing mids.

Buckley seems like he could be a good coach he's been let down by poor recruiting and Collingwood has had a couple of injury plagued seasons. He handles himself well in the media, the players respect him and he can be a hard ass if he has to unlike a lot of others

Whether correctly or incorrectly buckley recognised after the 2012 finals series that the team was on the way down, not the way up and they didn't think they could easily top up and legitimately challenge so he went down a rebuild path whilst starting with a strong team. The problem has been some poor recruiting choices (combined with really bad runs of injuries to first round picks) and trading for players with suspect footskills and decision making. I certainly wouldn't say buckley is the best tactically but he's also not the worst and to me he seems to be very good at motivating players and developing them.

I actually think he'd be a great choice as coach of a club like gold coast particularly with a football manager or assistant coaches who perhaps aren't so good at the face to face and instruction of players but are better tactically.
