It may not be the worse thing they could do, should the money be of little, or very little consideration.
Boyd & Casboult interchanging ruck and forward duties? Just feels like not such a bad idea.

Still see Melbourne being the surprise when it come to Casboult.
Most have it as 1. Richmond & 2. Collingwood but I can see Levi in Red & Blue.
I just cant get past a forward line of cloke & casboult.

Western Bulldogs and the pinball wizards.

Will mark everything in sight.

Average score for the year will be 8 goals 27 points

Perhaps,
1. 2018 1st +2017 3rd -> saints 2017 1st + 2018 1st (or from similar mid table team)
2. pick 1 + 2018 2nd -> kelly + 2017 2nd + change (hopper or salary dump players that we can use)

Net result
This year - kelly, mid 1st round pick, 2nd round pick (Effectively moved our missing 2nd rounder from this year to next)
Next year - hope BSOS doesn't get bid before mid 1st round + we move up the ladder.

Who knows. I'm still thinking it's plausible we will be given a PP on the proviso it's part of the Kelly trade so I feel it may become Pick #1 or Pick #18 + 2018 1st.
Would be the best way for AFL to look after their love child. Stripped their 1st round 2017 pick because of Whitfield saga, then give blues a PP to trade up to GWS to square things up.

I know this is a discussion on rumours in our Bluemour Thread. Even though there are still two games to go before the end of the H & A season, and the Trade Period has not begun, all this premature trade and draft talk is just so overwhelmingly suspenseful. I just hope all these rumours turn out to be accurate, or a lot of us will be terribly disappointed and let down. Fortunately, I'm not getting my hopes too high.

I just can't wait for this 23-week pre-season to finish so we can get stuck into the real action...

If you didn't notice, I posed what I said as a question. Instead of calling people delusional, perhaps you could attempt to answer it, hmm?
I've had to post that Carrots isn't slow about 30 or so times over the years, so it was very much a wider commentary.

Kerridge seems to be compared to Carrazzo quite often, perhaps in the hope that he'll blossom in the same way.

The most stark contrast between the two, for me, is that Carrazzo always had great hands, and awareness and vision in heavy traffic, and could build his game around this (particularly when he mastered the art of working within his limitations); Kerridge has neither good hands, or poise in the contest.

I remember young carrazzo having poor disposal by hand, alway passing to where the player is not where they will be, it wasn't till the end of his career he fixed that.
Loved his work rate though.

George Horlin-Smith could end up at Carlton in the trade period. Still got a year left on his contract but have heard he is frustrated at being in and out of the AFL side with Geelong having so many inside mids. Could be involved in Gaz heading to Geelong.

I had heard he was our first choice last year but wasn't willing, so we got smedts instead.
This was during trade period, not after.

If they're talking about someone with the initials CJ they'd be correct!

Judd's doing all that he can to do deliver what he couldn't as a player (and it wasn't his fault at all).

It's all coming up SEVENTEEN (and eighteen, nineteen, twenty, etc.).

Still see Melbourne being the surprise when it come to Casboult.

Tend to agree. The reverse-Spalding. Earl came to solve a lot of the issues for Sticks. Cas would do likewise for Hogan.

I don't know about Cloke. Can't see the Dogs pinning further hope on his shoulders, given this years output.

Along with a missing Cloke and Redpath being let go, Casboult may not be the worst bet for them...........but don't tell them that. :)
No-one looks good in the tricolour. Levi would look like a barrel of hairy giblets.

Is is possible that Kelly is a smoke screen for another target?

In the chance we don't land him, who is option B?

Hopper won't be just sitting around waiting for us to contact him....

I'm all for landing Kelly but I only want to give up 1 pick. Trading out multiple picks for 1 player will hurt us
No way. It should only be one first round pick otherwise walk away.

Not sure GWS will budge on it if they sniff a chance at getting Pick 1, and realistically, Pick 1 is fair value so it would be hard for us to justify not doing the deal if it comes to mediation.

Maybe next years first plus a swap of seconds is enough to tempt them though. Might depend on their academy prospects in 2018.
They accept what we give otherwise we get him from the PSD. We got shafted with Waite, Garlett and Jacobs. Payback.

It's an intriguing scenario isn't it. JackSoS pretty well went "under the radar" and based on his performances to date and the scope for further strong development, recruiters won't be caught napping again. Jack is tracking as solidly as any 2nd rounder from that draft, if not better, so with BenSos supposedly being a "better prospect", it may be a sound decision to use our 2018 first rounder now.
This Get Kelly and Raynor in one year. I like it.

Wasn't Carrots not overly quick, though? Kerridge, in addition to being able to run all day, is quite a bit faster, which should mitigate that issue somewhat; if he's getting the ball outside, he has longer to think/dispose of it.
Loved Carrots, but earlier on was a whipping boy. Remember his kicks would go as high as the ground distance travelled. But to his credit he worked hard and became an excellent footballer and leader. I see a lot of comparisons to Kerridge. I feel that he too has been working hard on several aspects of his game, poise with ball in hand being one of them.

Fair enough.

Given the similarities that people want to see between them, did Carrazzo get much ball outside, once he improved his disposal? I don't think he did; Kerridge is more an in/out midfielder atm, and this should help him improve his disposal a bit; more time.

You don't shaft your good trading partners to spite your face.

We will work out an equitable deal that doesn't burn any bridges.
