GAME OVER
Vickery is now in the 22 for Hawthorn.
They're stuffed.
Incorrect.
He's an emergency. Has replaced Mark Pittonet who was a named emergency.

GAME DAY BITCHES!![]()

It's hoodoo breaking day, bitches!![]()
I'm trying to remember a game against the Dawks at PP in the 80s where we kicked (from memory) 8 goals in time on in the 3rd Q. Was one of those performances that helped coin the 3rd Q being our "premiership quarter".
We just kept getting it out of the centre and goaled every time. Never seen anything like it since!
Does anyone remember this? Blueseum has us kicking 10 goals in the 3rd Q round 20 1983 so thinking that might be the game.

Crikey, which time? The painful memories of Carlton third quarter avalanches at Princes Park still haunt many Hawk fans over the age of 45. The narrative was fairly consistent: Hawthorn would take a handy 14 point lead into half time and then spectate through the third term as the mosquito fleet went berserk and the Blues rammed on nine straight goals before settling in for a 40 odd point victory. It wasn't until 1984 when we managed to kick 12 goals in the first quarter that the Carlton ownership of Hawthorn ground to a halt.
I have to go to a work quiz night![]()
Have you forgotten the 1987 Grand Final.![]()
Of course not, haven't forgotten the 86 GF of the 88 second semi either. Through these three years the Blues and Hawks were the best teams in the comp and split victories fairly evenly. The period between 1978-1983 to which I was referring in my post was decidedly one way traffic with Carlton having our ticket well and truly.

Can't keep dwelling on the past, it's getting further and further away. All I know is it has been 12 years since we last beat this mob and that looks to continue again this year.
It's not a matter of dwelling on the past, you can celebrate your history as well as looking at the present and the future.
I see that Bolton is making a concerted effort to re-connect the club with its past players, he must think there is some value in that to the current group as well.
Today's achievements will one day be past achievements to be celebrated as well.
)Love to beat these smug 'good blokes'

Isn't this what st kilda keeps telling themselves about #2?....The longer this losing streak continues the closer we are to beating them
(Known knowns and the unknown knowns type thingy)

Great, just great.
Now WE'RE stuffed![]()
Why?
He normally kicks 2-3 goals against us.
I'd rather that a player as useless and annoying as Vickery be in the opposition team. Stats be damned!
Also I think we're a sneaky chance tonight and I'd rather he be in the 22 we beat if it happens.
I went to get a ticket for this game. But apparently the Ticketmaster computers are down atm. Can anyone help?
I suppose I'd be a good chance to purchase a ticket at the outlet at the stadium prior to the game?
