Great idea for a thread.Your pridicted best 22 going into 2018, including likely recruits.

F. Elliot ~ Brander ~ Kirby
R. Grundy ~ Pendlebury (c) ~ De Goey
I. Varcoe ~ Goldsack ~ Phillips ~ Sier
E. Cox, Langdon, Crisp
Agree. Scharenberg is yet to cement his position.Pfft, I know he is your boy but Scharenberg will have to find something to be in our defensive 7 at the start of next year. Coaches saw how he was exposed today and they will remember it. Might have to be a midfielder.
B. Sinclair, Dunn, Langdon
HB. Howe, Reid, Crisp
C. Wells, Pendles, Sidebottom
HF. DeGoey, Moore, WHE
F. Elliot, Cox, Kirby (or a lightning quick draftee)

lol wtfB: Mathew Scharenberg ~ Lynden Dunn ~ Travis Varcoe

I/C: Jack Crisp (DEF) ~ Josh Thomas (MID/FWD) ~ Josh Daicos (Wing/FWD) ~ Kayle Kirby (FWD)
Brayden Maynard solidified his role as a mid/fwd. Pendlebury to add calmness and meaningful rebound, it's time for him to make way and let the next generation get midfield time. They went fine without him too.lol wtf

F: Fasolo, Cox, De Goey
R: Grundy, Treloar, Adams
Interchange: Greenwood, Goldsack, Phillips, Varcoe
Good side. My only query is on Fasolo. I like him, but he just doesn't have the footspeed to put pressure on as a smaller fwd. I really hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't see us clicking with him in the side. Need a tyrannical super quick small forward.
No room for Temploar?
Fair enough. Who would you replace him with? Maybe Daicos or Kirby?
Kirby for now, but I am hoping we can snag another lightning quick small forward type over the off-season. Not sure Daicos is quick enough.
Richmond have three super quick small forwards and it has helped enormously with their lack of talented forwards apart from Riewoldt. Those small forwards don't even need to lay heaps of tackles they just need to be able to pressure and put doubt into opposition defenders. We really only have Elliot who can do that. It will reduce the number of end to end goals because the clarity of ball movement we have seen by opponents this year will be disrupted if we had, say, a Rioli with Elliot.
I too am a fan of Pendles playing off half back now with less time in the midfield, adds class and stability to our back half. Time for De Goey,Treloar,Adams,Sidebottom,Maynard to take the lead in our midfield.B: Mathew Scharenberg ~ Lynden Dunn ~ Travis Varcoe
