We talking about the same Tom Mitchell that leads Zach in every "best player" poll by SEN, Age, Herald Sun, 3AW etc and will beat him on brownlow votes too?

The same Tom Mitchell that had more clearances, contested possessions, score involvements, goals, marks, tackles? Only 2 games below 30 touches... only a total of 8 below 35.

Dont fall for the same "not damaging enough" meme bigfooty tried to put on Merrett. Tom Mitchell was a gun this year. Only behind Danger and Dusty in 2017
Actually Zach leads on inside 50s and goal assists. Also rebound 50s as he has spent more time playing off half back.

Ave. metres gained per game, Merrett 500, Mitchell 300. Pretty sure Zach will beat him in the Coaches award as well

Zach was 2 votes behind in round 21, and Mitchell had two good games the last two

Zach has been very good last two games, exceptional against Freo and easily 10 votes just there. Hawks also lost to Blues

Yep. Mitchell will still probably get 7-10 against Carlton, and Zach was about 4th or 5th best on for us against the Suns. Don't be surprised if Mitchell finishes ahead

Let's be real here, you said he 'shits on Mitchell and its not even debatable', and that's your best response? Get outta here

Zachs a gun, we all know that, but take off the glasses mate - no shame in being in the same company as Titch.

The critisim that Mitchell copped was unfair the bloke is a gun and I would have loved him at efc.

Yeah you're right, maybe the "not debatable" is a tad over the top. Just think that Merrett is a more damaging player.

Further recognitin for our little champ.

It's funny, Tom Mitchell is virtually the exact sort of player we need.
Couldn't disagree more. He's a gun, but his style of play is in no way complementary to ours, and is the type of player we are close to ridding from our list.

Zach didn't make the squad last year, easier option to leave the young kid out for a Selwood etc.

Tom Mitchell would walk into our starting midfield.

Looks like Oliver won the best young player award... is this award voted on over the space of two years or just the best players in their first or second year? Doubt it's the latter as the top 5 are..
