What a shitshow that was.

They could've sent Paul Bulluss, Tony Free, Andrew Kellaway and Ben Nason on in that last quarter and we'd still have found a way to lose.

Thankfully we keep finding ways to lower the bar so in hindsight we can oh well results like that away.

As I posted early today, having this additional week of finals further disadvantages the teams that finish 7th and 8th while adding two more teams to the finals, 9th and 10th. There is already a significant advantage to finishing top 4. If having a pre-finals bye has diminished this advantage simply get rid of the bye.

As myself and El Zorro have already pointed out the AFL would also need to introduce a bye before this new week of finals. This would mean that the teams finishing 1st to 6th would get two bye weeks after the H&A finished. Other than dragging out the finals series an generating more cash for the AFL I fail to see what purpose this serves.

Not sure about that really. I know the recruit is just television, but malthouse was impressive on there imo. He was pretty measured and even philosophical/spiritual at times. Strikes me as a tough love type, but will be sure to explain why he has taken an approach and how he always has the players interest at heart.

With them in the wet and us in the dry at least it should compensate for the extra two days the loser has over us (if we win).
