Hey everyone!

In October, I will be making the big step up from the half marathons that I have done over the last 3 years and completing a full marathon. That’s 42.2kms which I will be aiming to do under 4 hours.

I am naming my run in honour of my mum who passed away in 1996 from brain cancer.

If you can afford it, it would be great if you could head to the below link and donate for my run to the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. Every little bit counts!

Around 1600 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia annually and approximately 1200 die from the disease every year. Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease and more people under 40 than any other cancer. Cure Brain Cancer Foundation was founded in 2001 by renowned neurosurgeon Professor Charlie Teo. The Foundation is dedicated to accelerating the development of new treatments to increase five-year to survival from the current 20% to 50% by 2023.

For more information about the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, head here:

If anyone wants to come and watch me finish at the 'G (and carry me home), please keep Sunday the 15th of October free!

Thanks everyone!

Good s**t!

Under 4 hours is a great aim, I wish you luck! I could only manage around 4:15:00 when I did a marathon, although it was very hilly (Great Ocean Rd), with around 4:35:00 for the full 45k course - and it's still the proudest (and hardest!!!) achievement of my life.

Good luck!!

The best bit is knowing you can eat whatever the * you want afterwards and not make a dent restoring the calories lost. Like the true athlete I am I went straight to the Apollo Bay pub afterwards and had 3 pints and a burger the size of my head and it was incredible!

Thanks mate, every dollar counts!

And yes, I'll be remembering that inspirational comment every step of the way on the run ;)

Just thought I'd give this a bump.

How's the fundraising going scezza?

My aunt died from brain cancer so I am a big supporter of the beanies for brain cancer fund and was happy to donate to this cause.

Just wanted to say thank you, for making a difference

Thanks H!

Fundraising is going great. Nearly at $2,000 thanks to friends, family, collegues and generous BF posters.

Training is going well too - did a PB half marathon on Saturday which was both surprising and pleasing (21.1kms, 1:42:20).

25kms planned for this Saturday, then 30km and 35km runs for the next two weekends after that.
