Just starting to get worried we might lose Rory next year. Heard reports that he was going to sign front ended contract that did not eventuate. Then comments about Belinda wanting to go home.

We cannot afford for Rory to go home. Whilst Tex is a the captain, a matchwinner and heart of the club, Rory is the soul and the blue collar player who sets the tone for much of the team.

The loss of Rory would rip the guts out of our side - players with his character, commitment and inspirational nature cannot be replaced.

Lets hope we can tie up this one over summer before the season begins. I don't think I could take it to have another season impacted by the possible loss of a favourite son.

The next 3-5 months will be a great challenge for Reid and co - with not only Rory coming out of contract but Matt and others exiting deals.

If he does leave, he has given incredible service to this club and needs to be held in the highest esteem whenever we play against his side in the future.

If he decides to leave a number 1-3 pick must be an essential part of the deal so that we can get one of the SA boys - Rozee , Rankin or Luckosis - cannot spell his name properly. This might be his legacy if he goes. A 10- 12 year player for the AFC.
