What is amazing for Sean Darcy is that his numbers stack up well against mature ruckman, not just for hitouts.

Versus Shane Mumford, more disposals, effective disposals, less marks, more contested marks, less clearances, more metres gained. Generally statistically, difficult to say who played better.

Versus Toby Nankervis, a ruckman deemed to have had a very good season. More hitouts, same number of effective disposals, more tackles, less clearances, less marks, less metres gained. Statistically, you would say Nankervis had a better season, but not by a long way.

Even though Sean's stats are those of a good AFL ruckman, he could not get a place in the 22under22 against someone who is not a ruckman at all.

Versus Peter Wright meaningless to compare their stats, but Sean wins both Fantasy and Supercoach on a per game basis.

All very hard to fathom.

I dont have any stats to elaborate on but he's just a jet and seriously cant wait to see him next year in the new stadium. HODOR.

His play style reminds me alot of Mumford + he can actually kick
He actually does pretty much everything as good or better than Mummy already. Obviously not the physicality and isn't as good at tap work yet but that will come.

Marking, kicking, possessions, clearances etc. pretty sure they are similar and a few in Sean's favour.

And he is only 19. It took Mumford 3 more years to even get to 3 AFL games. And he had 16 disposals, 31 hitouts, 1 tackles, 4 cleareance in those 3 games. Total numbers not average numbers...

I suspect Sean's tap work might be better already.

not hard to fathom.

AFL need good stories about the Suns.

Pretty sure the best 22 under 22 is voted by the fans, which explains the stupidity as to why Wright was picked over Darcy.

Average fan knows "2 Meter Peter" but they have no idea who Sean Darcy is.

Although it also explains how Ed Langdon gets chosen as a defender. AFL fantasy players are a big fan.

Have to remember that Darcy missed quite a bit of footy this season.
