Thursday 7.20: Carlton v Richmond, MCG - gets 75k+ in bad years, no reason to change coming off a Richmond flag - will be 85k+ easy with the Tigers army growing
Friday 7.50: Collingwood v Melbourne, MCG - seems like both teams would be happy to ask for this match-up
Sat 1.40: Geelong v Sydney, Kardinia Park - good match-up, Geelong will want early KP matches. Swans in line to travel after 6 straight years of NSW round 1 games
Sat 4.40: GWS v Fremantle, Spotless - GWS not had a home season opener in a while. Fremantle will travel round 1 and AFL will try to have them Saturday to avoid putting them on Sunday straight up (1 less 6 day break compared to starting on Sunday)
Sat 7.40: West Coast v Essendon, Perth Stadium - think both WA clubs will ask for a big opponent to open their Perth Stadium games for. Essendon pretty good WA support and the AFL often has them travel round 1. West Coast were away in 2015 & 2017, Fremantle will get away round 1 2018.
Saturday night will just seal it as a sell-out, 60k or so capacity yeah?
Sat 7.40: Port Adelaide v St Kilda - Port will get a home game. Saints will travel. Had this match-up round 1 twice before
Sun 1.10: North v Gold Coast, Etihad - not an exciting match-up but North might be ok to have a lower drawing opponent boosted by round 1 numbers. GC will likely travel. Could be a Tasmanian game too.
Sun 2.40: Hawthorn v Adelaide, MCG - should get 40k plus to this
Sun 4.40: Brisbane v Western Bulldogs, Gabba - basically the 'leftover' match. Dogs will get a travel out of the way early, Brisbane get a half reasonable opponent to hopefully get 25k there
