No surprise there. Posted many a time that Carlton president referenced, "afl approved" many a time following his appointment. Blues got a bunch of Friday night games as a sweetener, but everyone would have been aware that there was no real future in Trigg remaining in a CEO role. Incompetent is a word that springs readily to mind.

Wasn't it momentum energy who used to sponsor us?

Remember reading that CareerOne/Acquire Learning pulled out $1m from Carlton due to be being audited by the government. Andrew Demetriou was in charge there, and we all remember he was in charge of the AFL in 2014, the same year Trigg was appointed to Carlton.

Not sticking up for Trigg but hardly his fault and out of his control if that's the reason that's being proffered.

Just a really good operator, well respected, but seemingly out of luck. He's s**t, he screwed us and he did nothing at Carlton. Caro the paid mouthpiece doing what she does best.

And the same year that the Carlton president kept mentioning that Trigg came with the, "full endorsement of the AFL". Caro also did a full 180 on his suitability to be an AFL club CEO. Carlton also picked up a stupid number of Friday night games for the season after appointing Trigg. It's pretty obvious what was going on.

Nothing to do with SOS, Trigg is no more competent there than he was with us. He turned a financial power into a financial also ran. Surely no ordinary thinking person would have thought that he'd be able to improve a poorly performing club in a hot market place when he couldn't even keep us where we had been previously. Just an ordinary operator with no idea whatsoever.

Same year Malthouse took over wasn't it? Or his second year when they sacked him? Suggests they were expecting to be far more competitive than they were.
