Our current list management thread is knocking on the 10,000 post limit of quality, carefully considered and cherished contributions so as of Thursday night we will jump over to a live megathread full of:
All Fremantle news, obviously
Judgements on opposition moves
Discussion about possible movements

...And debate on how we are shaping up towards the draft, how our list holes are doing and what players we still need to target.

Should Suban, Sheridan or Danyle Pearce find another home during this period then we will wish them well and henceforth refer to the points value of the draft pick exchanged for them or compensation as "One Suban" etc.

This will make it easier to judge the value of all future trades, father son selections and draft picks as a measure of multiples of Sheridans.

Trengove going to the dogs for $500,000 is staggering. Blokes an average player. No excitement in that. Was hoping we'd make a bid for Menzel today, though the AFL website is suggesting it might happen later on in the period.

So, today we can expect Trengove and Rockliff deals to be announced, Motlop will probably decide over the weekend.

He isn't a bad Player to be honest. Not a bad Defender and can pinch hit in the ruck

It's still a huge gamble. I'd rather get the kids from the next couple of drafts and bank on us improving and Melbourne going s**t so by the end of 2019 we can secure Hogan's services without burning all our resources.
You've missed the Melbourne posters all week declaring that with Lever they're fourpeating starting 2018 :drunk:

We agree to take back Mayne if they take Suban on a big deal, netting us a first round pick.
mmmm like that twice. See Wallace going on about the super draft next year...keeps saying it is really good......reckons pick 6 would equal this years pick one. Pretty funny considering little between 1 to 6 this year. But interested to know just how good and long is it the 2018....would maybe have to be on clubs minds re future picks

At the moment, the most important thing IMO for us is really to get a second round pick (somewhere 20-35 ideally) if we can. But this is going to be hard if we are also picking up Menzel, Matera and Wilson, and not trading our first pick (I feel like next year's second will already be gone).

like I've said before...if 2018 is that good half the teams will be falling over themselves to come last. I guess Monday - Tuesday will give us an idea what's going on re delisting and player trades.

Relevant snippets from Trade Radio/AFL.com this morning:

Hogan still in Freo sights
Melbourne football manager Josh Mahoney put Jesse Hogan off the trade radar on NAB AFL Trade Radio on Wednesday, but Fremantle remains interested in the star forward.

AFL.com.au's Damian Barrett understands the Dockers' pursuit of the 2015 NAB AFL Rising Star did not end with Mahoney's comments.

A broken collarbone ended Hogan's season prematurely, after he had already beaten testicular cancer and dealt with his father's death.

He spent time back in Western Australia during those times.

Hogan also received a two-game ban for striking Carlton defender Sam Rowe in round two but still managed to play some impressive football during the year.

Menzel likely to depart the Cattery
Geelong forward Daniel Menzel has a number of other suitors as he weighs up whether to accept the Cats' one-year offer.

Fremantle is one potential trade destination for Menzel, who kicked 40 goals in 19 games, but was dropped for Geelong's qualifying final against Richmond.

The Dockers have already indicated their interest in Menzel and he could also return home to South Australia. He finished outside the top 20 in the Cats' best and fairest count on Thursday night.

Fair to say if Menzel has a number of suitors, including his home state, surely his preference is to stay at the Cattery or return to his home state. Freo just doesn't make sense, especially with Cam and Kersten already here.
