Been hearing and reading in the media thay this year's GF crowd of 100,021 was the highest since 1986 when they had 101k.

But some research proves that wrong.

2008, 2010 (Draw) and 2013 all had over 100,000 people.

Or am I missing something?

2017 was higher than all the years you listed.

The point I was making is that we've had previous 100k crowd's..... It's the highest crowd since 2013

2017's crowd was the highest in 31 years. 4th time since redevelopment of the Ponsford, Northern and Olympic stands the crowd at the Grand Final exceeded 100,000.

It was the highest GF crowd number since 1986.

2017 was higher than all the years you listed.

Bah, even 2016 of a small melbourne team + interstate got 99,981. Just needed 19 more people.

It will be difficult not to get 100k going forward.

If every single person with a ticket used their ticket (I assume some Corporate tickets go unused etc), how many people would the attendance be? Ie how many tickets are there in total for the game?

I've heard Gil say 100,024. Not sure where he's plucked that number from though
