I know that's the perception that's out there, but unlike Gibbs, Cameron's form dipped badly this year because he isn't happy here. There is no point forcing a player to stay and play poorly in the last year of his contract, decreasing his trade value. He will be traded regardless of who comes in.
The good news is his replacement is already here. You're next man up Gooch!

West Coast will be rebuilding and whilst I agree they shouldn't be letting him go, if he's told them he's going to have a look at FA then West Coast would be negligent not to look around early to see what they can get.
That said there's about a 5% chance of it happening

Maybe we could attempt the following:
Freo: Gain Hogan, lose pick 5
Dees: Gain Lever, pick 16. Lose Hogan, pick 10
Us: Gain pick 5, pick 10. Lose Lever, pick 16
Gives us a high first rounder and a 6 pick upgrade for Lever.
Fair deal?

Somehow I don't see the Dees would let Watts and Hogan both go in the same year. Love for it to happen, but effectively you're asking the Dees to do a straight swap of Lever for Watts + Hogan.
