A lot to give up for Gibbs IMO... wonder why they didn't try harder for Rocky? Would have cost them nothing at the trade table for arguably a better footballer.

When you ask for a trade for compasionate reasons and this is how the club does it youd be filthy. They are not being reasonable at all.

There isn't really a compassionate reason though, just to be closer to family. He has a year on his contract, if it were one of our players, we would be demanding our club do exactly what the Crows have done.

They are in flag mode and they think he can help them win one. They have 2 first round picks next year in a stronger draft and they will have what we give them for Cameron. Clubs will overpay if they think that player can help them win a flag.

Yeah, this whole "compassionate reasons" for Cameron is a bit rubbish to me. He wants to be near family and friends. That's homesickness reasons. I can completely understand Adelaide's point of view, and don't think they're being dumb.

Imagine the same year we lost Aish, after the GH5 just a few years earlier, if Lewy Taylor turned around and said he wanted to be traded to Adelaide. Family in a couple of locations, but no - wants to go to Adelaide. Port also an option, but no - he'll only go to the Crows. Still contracted, but no - he wants home. I wouldn't have a problem at all with the club telling him to suffer and putting their foot down. It'd be a message to other players - you can't just leave at the drop of a hat.

That said, I'm glad our club isn't being stupid and offering ridiculous unders. Pick 20 sounds slight overs, but OK for a contracted player. If we give up 18, I'll grumble but be OK. If we give up 12, I'd be pissed. Even if we get pick swaps back. Would be far too high a price.

On the other hand, Zorko is 29 before the start of season. If Adelaide want to offer Cameron, all of their first rounders this year and next, and maybe a player or two as steak knives (say a Talia or a Crouch or a Gallucci), I'd think about it.

I wouldn't take any figure mentioned in the media as reliable. Probably plus or minus 50%.
