I'm a bit surprised at the strength of feeling for this rationale.

Experts aren't picking stayers so why not give the teammates who played with them, have moved successfully to afl level, know what it takes to step up and managed the move away from home successfully a go. Probably can't do worse.

Because he was underage. Spent his first year still at home finishing school, IIRC.

As to this year, I have changed my vote 3 times. All this love for Dow because McL and Berry endorse him is over rated tho - it was just a throw away comment to answer a question that was thrust on them. no big deal.

I couldn't separate Rayner and LDU so I flipped a coin and it came up LDU.

But Rayner is very impressive. Got a skill set better than both LDU and Dow including aerial markng and goalsense.

I have no problem if they take him #1.

He's says he's happy to come here much like Ainsworth did last year and no-one seemed to doubt what Ainsworth said.

I think Dangerfield's "disposals" are overrated

Hey, sorry for the intrusion. If i recall correctly danger sat the whole year out in his first year which clubs knew was going to happen. I think thats how he slid. Pretty sure he had to finish school or something.

Highlights videos favour players that do spectacular things, even if they’re butchering the ball or shirking defensive running for 3/4 of each game. They dont pick up the value of players who do the right thing consistently.

Given where we are as a club right now, I’d take the solid citizen. LDU for me.
