Why are a big proportion of the missing WA girls, English migrants, church goers, or have parents who are church goers. That includes Sarah McMahon.

Sorry mediums and psychics I am not a fan of. Ask any of the families. I fear Pat Govan will be used up.
Its an insult to police work when you bring in mediums who have never found anyone, who usually just scope public information on the internet. Money wasted.

Ms Renner and Ms Nella only have access to information available in the public domain and from the Govan family but believe they have found evidence since being in Kalgoorlie that could turn everything on its head.

The office of WA's Director of Public Prosecutions yesterday confirmed police froze the pub from sale in 2003 when co-owner Kevin Ross Smith was charged with drug dealing. For four years between then and when Smith was finally convicted in March 2007, the hotel's ownership fell into limbo.

Parents of a murdered Kalgoorlie woman hope a new documentary will solve the 18-year-old mystery of their daughter’s disappearance.

Lisa Govan, 28, moved to Kalgoorlie in the late 1990s with her boyfriend, Tim Hammel, who was working in the Goldfields.

On October 8, 1999, Ms Govan went out drinking with friends at the Safari nightclub on Hannan Street but never returned home.

A security camera captured her climbing into a taxi at about 4.45am with a bald-headed man on Boulder Road.

It is believed she (Lisa Govan) went to the Foundry Hotel on Boulder Road, which was used as the clubhouse of bikie gang Club Deroes, where she was last seen talking to two men outside the building at about 7.30am.

The clubhouse was raided in the days after Ms Govan’s disappearance.

Hayley Dodd went missing July 29 1999, Lisa Govan went missing 8th October 1999.

The property was sold to Kahu Smiler, a shearer.

Francis John Wark sold the Wheatbelt property shortly after 17-year-old Hayley vanished in 1999. He later moved to a small town in far north Queensland. As police yesterday continued their search around the farmhouse, about 1km from where Hayley was last seen hitchhiking, it emerged that Wark had been jailed in 2007 after pleading guilty to attacking a 32-year-old woman and holding her captive at his Queensland property.

Documentary was delayed because they had further information to include. Next thing today, Mr Dawson said some 'fresh information' had recently come to hand to investigators handling the case but he would not elaborate on what that information was. And they increase the reward to $250,000!!

Dan you're making suggestions Wark might have been in Kal, rode a motor bike, could have been a bikie?

Anyone know

What do you think the information is?

Who do you think it may be getting worried?

Where is the body?

Three cases in a row now with the same statement and theme.

"Mr Dawson said some 'fresh information' had recently come to hand to investigators handling the case but he would not elaborate on what that information was.

"We strongly believe there are people out in the community who know what has happened to Lisa," he said.

Did they increase the reward from $50,000 to $250,000? I wonder if some in the community might be able to cash in on a few cases?

They would have to be out of the code of silence? I wonder if the same applies where police stated there is may no longer bean alliance, or they no longer feel intimidated.

Wondering if Mr Wark was an associate of a biker club? He obviously had a motorbike. Not that having a bike be a condition of being involved with a bike club.

They've had Wark's trial, Finn inquiry (if it gets started) and the arrest of the Claremont serial killer.

Also the documentary with the investigator and physic on Lisa Govan might have bought in the fresh information?

Have I just made a Freudian slip? I meant psychic not physic.

What would they find raiding the bikie club after almost 20 years anyway? Someone associated with the bikies out of the cone? Or is after 20 years people are getting older and don't give a shite, relationships break up, some go to jail or about to, so others feel free to talk?

Dan, you pointed out Lisa was last seen with a bald headed guy getting into a taxi. Was Wark bald then? What information do you think they got to get a search warrant of the Club Deroes bikie clubhouse?

Who knows. I didn't realise they had raided the club. Clubs are raided all the time.

Does that stuff work?

Was on Ch 7 and they were right into it no mucking around looking. Maybe knew where to look or maybe they're going to pull up the whole slab. Hopefully there will be updates tomorrow.

It is sketchy. There is other methods.

They should dig under it. Not rip it up. It should be my job lol Id do it.

Club Deroes bikie compounds in Kalgoorlie and Perth raided over Lisa Govan cold case

WA Police have raided two properties with links to an outlaw motorcycle gang in relation to a cold case murder investigation, after receiving "very credible information" regarding the disappearance of a Goldfields woman.

The raids on the Club Deroes headquarters in Kalgoorlie and the Perth suburb of Cloverdale come more than 18 years after Lisa Govan disappeared from Kalgoorlie.

Ms Govan's body has never been found but police are treating the case as a homicide.

Following the raids, WA Police announced they were increasing the reward for information about the case from $50,000 to $250,000.

Ms Govan was 28 when she vanished from Kalgoorlie in 1999, and was last seen on the morning of October 8 outside the Foundry Hotel bottle shop on Boulder Road.

Lisa Govan disappearance: a family stuck on a horrible rollercoaster for 18 years

She had being living in Kalgoorlie with her boyfriend for about three years, working in several jobs, including her last in a mining lab.

On the night she disappeared, her boyfriend was working a night shift at a local mine site, so Lisa went out with a group of friends, ending up at the Safari Club in Hannan Street in the early hours.

But instead of calling it a night at 4.30am when the nightclub closed, Lisa made a fateful decision to go back to the Club Deroes’ clubhouse to continue partying.
