I'm not sure who they have picked up but I have heard that they have lost a few?
Capauano back to Roxy Park
Winter to EK
Carruthers to OP
Both Walkers training with Coburg VFL

Not sure why’d you mention a twos player in this?
Curious to know why capauano would leave, wanted to play higher level or atleast that was the reason to leave Roxy now jumping ship
Will need to recruit a few, Ronaldson staying at stars who was tipped to return, any news on kite going back

Good day gentlemen , the ol' Banger has had a bit of a break, I know you all have missed me..

Looks like same ol' off season, greedy players sucking the life out of clubs and clubs accommodating this disgusting behavior. It is November 7 2017 and we all know that West Coburg, Avondale, Doutta's & Glenroy(fair enough as not expected) have zero chance of winning the flag., let alone play finals.
Abers sit clearly on top of the sh*t heap that is EDFL "Premier", then Greenvale.. Marby, Mores, Keilor and Pacco(who are spending up big for their 100th year, salary cap, what salary cap???) could test the top 2.
In this day of having to get every player to sign a contract every year, why the hell would loyal supporters of clubs part with their hard earned knowing fully well these greedy players are raping clubs and the lives of great people, volunteers who work their butts off to keep clubs afloat.
Wake up people, you're either a well paid player or one of the very few loyal club players who would play for nothing if it meant your team would be stronger, this is fact and unfortunately the dire place that local footy is in at the moment.
Go Hawks

Come on Turbo, I thought you would of been for it. Would certainly stop all the gossip

It’s a bit late now buddy. As I’ve said many times, this was started by some clubs many years ago and others are just trying to keep up. There was a certain premiership star ruckman who was on that much coin it wasn’t funny. Yes he got them a premiership but gee whiz.

Young Ntalianis signed at airport west, great pick up by Geoff Maddern! Has coached him at Douttas before I do wonder if others that age from Douttas will follow.....

It could be on the cards. I would think APW would be going after boys aged 18 to 20 that have the ability to play senior's. If so I wouldn't even play those boys in the 19's or reserves.

How is it no ones business when there is a salary cap in place? Surely the hierarchy at the edfl Know what's being spent??
Every club needs to submit its final spend by Oct 31. This document is signed by President and Footy Manager or Secretary. Its then uploaded into each clubs sharepoint portal. So yes any EDFL big knob who has access to the portal will no everyones business that is a 100% fact. Whether the info in the spreadsheets are 100% honest and correct is a job for the EDFL hierarchy to manage and work out.

Rumour out of Greenvale couple of club legends heading back
- Dean Smith a year overseas is heading back to the hanger. Apparently the year off is just what the body needed & is ready to take off again.
-James Rohan a year off in the bush winning a B & F at his new club is also heading home.

Could these two be the experience the jets need to get them over the line this year.

I very much doubt it but good to see them back

Looks like the same names have be raised as fact plus Rohan Nayna could also be back.
All 3 are older players and I doubt this will be any difference to the team to play seniors as it would disappoint the younger players missing on a spot.
Also, older bodies can't take the prolonged season battle which is why Greenvale lost so badly in the grand final....They need to find the 10 goals they lost by. My aswell also bring back Campisano.

Smith hasn’t played premier for nearly 3 years. Rohan was a brilliant captain and legend of the club but doubt they will play seniors.
Is it true another legend in Paul Lenne returning to the club.
2nds side will only get stronger with those 3 returning.
Maybe they’ll be pulling on the jumper for their super rules side next year.

People forget both are only 32 I think

Plenty of 32 year olds going around and doing well for local teams. Of course, they aren't going to be the most important players in the team but can play a role and the experience will help the younger players around the club

Fitness the key imo

Must admit from the outset that I only witnessed Greenvale and Aberfeldie in the two finals but doubt there is a 10 goal gap between them. Greenvale were absolutely slaughtered by the umpires in the second semi and also lost Dempsey at half time and DeLuca at quarter time and only went down by a couple of goals. I think this is more an indicator than the GF where everything fell apart for Greenvale after the earlier 2 injuries abd the hamstring to Addam Maric in the prelim. 1 or 2 players could be the difference and with Blackwell not playing for Abers I think that swings it back to Greenvales favour.
