Scharenberg couldn't run, couldn't kick. That's Bentick territory.

Worpel has athleticism in spades, and despite his kicking inconsistencies he will go in the 25-50 range.
I rate the guy. That's one point I've been pretty consistent on about this draft.

But he seems to be dropping faster than a pelican turd.

Only on here. I think he'll go in the 30s.

I still want him at 30. There's only a few I'm interested in at that pick and I doubt they'll still be available.
If we're going for a clearance mid with suspect kicking, I'd rather Patmore. WCE are set to completely rejuvenate their midfield in one draft if they scoop up all these undervalued WA kids in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

What happened to your theory, one that i agree with, that the WA hype machine has been in overdrive this year following funding by the WA Footy Commission Jimmae?

It's a long time in between drinks since Harry Taylor from the WAFL. And i thought you said that none should go before #40 minimum, which i also agree with. Now suddenly they are all undervalued and gonna rejuvenate West Coast's midfield?

Personally i think West Coast are kidding themselves if they think a triumvirate of WAFL 2nd/3rd Rders are gonna take them anywhere.

What say you Jimmae?

somehow he just gets away with it............

Ah yes, Jim "Deep Blue" Mae

I imagine him with 15 monitors stuck together, stock-broker style, with each screen dedicated to a separate BF thread..... and his brain pulsating away, making rhythmic electronic sounds.....

I honestly thought there was more to this draft in the 30-40 range, and I was also hoping that Patmore would be there for our 3rd rounder. ;)

Starcevich and Patmore are definitely undervalued in the current draft conversations, though Starcevich is definitely rising. It's conceivable that WC could come away with something like:

13 - Constable
21 - Allen/Balta/L.Fogarty
26. Starcevich
32. Kelly
37. Patmore
69. Kyron Hayden

As for my comments re: the hype machine, that's more in regards to senior WAFL prospects, specifically Kelly and Schloithe. I remain of the opinion that Taylor, Starcevich, Hayden and Patmore are probably undervalued at present, though I'm way way way outside the relevant circles.

What we're seeing is the first signs of a revamped junior talent pathway, but the WAFL is still miles off (not that the SANFL or VFL are travelling better).

Has Rayner slipping to us at 3 which is huge. Would we chuffed with any of the top 4. Rayner actually worries me just a little. I know its an unfair comparison by just with x factor players and how Menzel turned out for us. Prefer a more nuts and bolts, meat and potatoes tough mid type as x factor players also have more of a chance to not turn out than those solid mid types. But then again he could be an absolute game breaker. I have absolute faith in SOS and I am more interested in pick 10 where there becomes more variable. The idea of getting Bonar at 10 is giving me a... well its got me excited.

With all due respect to Knightmare, I've never rated his opinion when it comes to the draft. I admire his research and in depth analysis but his track record in valuing young talent is quite poor. Bishop is far superior IMO.
I was more referencing the ‘baby face’ comment.

Just read Bishops mock - that is some nice work. I love the way he references team needs - I’m a fan. Interesting how there’s a marked difference between his end of home and away and post-trade week. Knightmare does good work also but comes at it at a different angle.
