Everyone said McLeod was a dud and he'd never amount to anything, he was weak and tried to do too much.
Same criticisms leveled at Milera at the same stage.

Now its very unlikely he'll be as good as McLeod, but why are you judging when he has barely played 20 games.

If we wanna talk about weak why arent we talking about Fisher in the same breath?
Tyson Edwards wasn't a big fan.....

I'm over arguing with you seeing as you keep shifting the goalposts and honing in on red herrings and pointless semantics to protect your precious crows:thumbsu:

Shifting the goal posts?
They arent moving just because you can only kick out on the full.

Riley Knight is a soft and weak player remember. And Zac Fisher is a tank and a star and would've played a full season for every finals side this year.

Docherty knee likely means Crows pick up close to pick 20 next year.

Its a s**t way of it happening, but it has certainly increased the chances of us getting a better pick.

Hope Sam's rehab goes well and he gets back to full capacity. Was really starting to show consistent elite performances.

Really terrible news about Docherty, probably the best half back flanker at the moment.

Could have done with this guy this year, Docherty going down is huge in Carlton’s ladder position. Attention goes to next in line and Carlton probably lose a lot of run and 15 to 20 possessions out of the back half.

It’s not just his run and possessions, but his leadership down back. He’s a real general down there. Gonna be sorely missed. Last thing we needed after losing Gibbs’ leadership abilities too. One of the reasons Carlton were so keen on hanging on to Gibbs last year in lieu of a compelling offer.

Luckily you still have Simpson down there, he is going to have to be the general down there this year. Problem is that the player that would usually try to keep Docherty quiet will now roll over to Simpson .

Losing Docherty is certainly a big loss for Carlton, but you could say the same about Brodie Smith for the Crows.

One player missing the season will not cause a team to come last.

Absolutely, and Smith is almost as important to us.
But the trade was made with that knowledge already in hand, this is new information.

Also I think Adelaide can cover a lot easier than Carlton.

Carlton finishing 10th-13th?

Surely you jest.

And yes, losing one player can severely damage a teams ladder position.

As to the poster who suggested it was poor form to raise this information, it's not gloating, it's not opportunistic. It's considering new information in the context of a trade deal.

Anyway, bad luck for the Blues. Good news for the Crows.

Thank goodness for Simmo. Hopefully his durability and form continues at least another year.

He has been amazing, the fact that he's kept his form and fitness for so long.
Esp given his lack of physical size and the fact that he's played a position that requires getting smashed often.

I still laugh at a poster that said he was too small to make it in his first season. He will rack up 300 this year and is as brave as they come.

Wouldn't believe he had zero disposals in his first 3 games.

I could see how you would think he was too small. You could still make that argument about him!

Brave is right. Its fine to be brave when you're a big guy, but when you're slender even in your what 13th year in the game and you go back with the flight every time, then that's real bravery (well footy's version of it).

Really zero in his first 3 games? Many guys wouldn't come back from that.

Yeah however the old Gibba helped us snaffle Kennedy and and should land a ripper palyer at pick 10, too, looking ok.
Gibbs will always be loved at Princes Park, gave us his best years 200+ games alawys remain a great Blue Bagger.

Not sure what that has to do with anything I wrote?

I was saying you could have used Gibbs this year because of the terrible injury to Docherty
