Yes, but I only looked at the AFL component to answer a Port poster who was bragging how much better their financial performance was, when they had received millions more than us from the AFL... effectively an equalisation tax.
Not gonna be the case this year. I’m expecting a loss announcement buried on Friday afternoon when most people are getting smashed at their Xmas parties.

Personally not a fan of Mt. Gambier, just, not a place I have enjoyed being. Beachport or Robe are quite nice by comparison, stay with the Wombats at Beachport 'Southern ocean tourist park'.

Anderson hill winery, about 40 minutes from Adelaide. Not sure how the wine is (not a wino) but the people are lovely, the drive and views spectacular.

If you're headed up the Barossa, take the hills drive through Birdwood, Mt. Pleasant etc. It is gorgeous, it may not be green that time of year, but it is beautiful.

+1. The Adelaide hills are severely underrated. Had to work up there recently and I had a ball driving my Subaru along the winding roads and taking in the stunning scenery.

This is Carlton we're talking about ...they don't make profits, but when they do, they sack the person responsible ....Trigg

Only at Carlton

Where does it say anywhere that Trigg was responsible?

They sacked him for 1 reason, they thought they were buying a superstar CEO and when he arrived they soon realised all they got was a former geography teacher

They bought the hype and soon came to regret it

Still clinging to those straws

Toyota Australia’s divisional manager marketing Brad Cramb said both the company and the Club had benefited from a consistent, long-term relationship.

Toyota has backed Adelaide since the Club played its first AFL season in 1991 – the same year Toyota first became the nation’s best-selling automotive brand,” Cramb said.

Why on earth would the marketing manager of Toyota be announcing the sponsorship deal if they weren't involved in the deal ?

Just another laughably poor attempt by Port supporters to play the semantics game trying to discredit the club.

Who cares if the SA dealers are contributing towards the money, the deal itself is with Toyota. If the money Port's sponsorship deal with Oak came from their SA branch budget does that then mean that Port aren't actually sponsored by Oak ? It's just inane stupidity.

As for front and back sponsors, if Port are selling off the front for 500k then I would assume that they're getting even less for the back? 500k to 3 million is a massively big difference, maybe if Renault were paying 2 million a year for the front then you might have had a point.

Must have missed you lot on this page then:

They've got the North Queensland Cowboys up there, they've got the AFL up there...but no Adelaide Crows.

You seem more upset about it than we do

I'm not upset about it - who gives a **** how you get the money as long as you get it?

Legit Port's sponsor, who didn't end up paying, used your membership to try and fund its pyramid scheme.

Do you reckon you are getting paid full market rate to have Oak on both the front and back of your jumper right now?

Macca19 seems to think that they are not paying a full major sponsorship, hence you are sourcing a second major still. Yet Oak are represented front and back of your jumper, giving them the status of sole major sponsor in the public eye.

Would have loved Maynard. Wait until he moves into the midfield.

BTW his home is in Victoria ;)
Talking about his spiritual home :p

and yet on this page on the Toyota website they mention that they are a sponsor

http://www.toyota.com.au/news/toyotas-eye-catching-boost-for-adelaide

"Australia's top-selling car company Toyota has greeted the official opening of the Adelaide Crows AFL season by announcing a new guernsey logo and on-ground signage featuring its latest car, the eye-catching C-HR.

Adelaide's major sponsor for the past 26 years, Toyota will provide three different strips for the back of player guernseys in 2017 - a first for the elite level of Australian Rules football."

Why on earth would Toyota have this on their website if they aren't sponsors?

I can't believe that amount of butt_hurt from Port supporters over our deal with Toyota and the desperate attempts to try and convince yourselves that Toyota aren't really our sponsors. Before you try and play the "I don't care" card, the fact that you've posted this is irrefutable evidence that you do actually care.

Port supporters seem obsessed with using fallacies like this to create "safe spaces" for their minds to help them cope with the fact that they support the 2nd fiddle club in SA.

Why wouldn't we give them additional exposure whilst we wait for the other sponsor to be finalised?

You are trying to make something out of nothing here and failing.

As you say yourself we have one good sponsor locked in. We have another on the way.

Happy days.

Are they paying for it? It is not like you guys giving Foodbank that space for free to help a charity before Renault took that space.

Plus your club is selling these jumpers as 2018 jumpers. If round one you guys have company X on the back instead of Oak that is a misrepresentation. For a lot of people having the wrong sponsor on a jumper deemed as current by the club is a big deal.

The other thing is, why the delay for a second major sponsor. With all the millions spent in China wooing their business leaders a transition from Renault to another company should be seamless. After four years over there your presence should be big enough to have your pick of companies willing to part over $500k to sponsor you. Apparantley you don't.

I guess it is too much to ask for members of a cult to question the Supreme Leader's actions and/or inefficiencies.

Port struggle to keep a major sponsor for 26 months....

Could the reason be because Port Power are a self flagellating, self back-slapping, unwarrantedly arrogant, unwarrantedly self-entitled, koolade-drinking, delusional and generally all round shitty AFL franchise?

Yes, yes I think this could be the reason.

Who says we don't have our pick of companies?

According to LR and others, we extended the deadline because we needed to decide which major sponsor we wanted to go with. Unfortunately, business decisions like this aren't beholden to whether or not the 2018 jumper is ready to be wheeled out or not. But ISC and the club wanted to roll something out for Christmas, so they went with Oak front and back.

If people REALLY cared about getting the right jumper, just give people a Port Store gift card for Christmas and wait until the season starts. It's not hard.
