The two teams are like this :-

Port is Foodland
Adelaide is Woolworths/Coles

Both offer similar product but one is local the other is national, one is owned by local people whilst the other is an ASX listed company.

One offers discounted memberships therefore cheapening its brand (Port), the other knows the value of its brand and people will pay it (Adelaide). Another example, ticket to Port's Chairman function $150- whilst Adelaide $400-.

They don't and will never accept, they will and always will be the little brother.

How can Adelaide & Port be Brothers ... They are not related & do not have the same father... :D

Probably true but the bigger point is how many people think they’re entitled to some sort of moral superiority and status just based on where they shop

A shittruck who spends their working time putting stickers on apples shouldn’t be looking down on the ASX CFO just because of what team he supports or where he shops

Goes both ways too

Foodland is a franchise. Spot on.

You may have missed the point.

I don't think people believe that have moral superiorty based on where they shop, it is based on one is seen as local the other national.

Port - local, Adelaide - national.

Lol. The only people that watched that game were expats and tourists from here, plus some local officials that the SA govt had invited. It's already had it's day.

Can Port be BI-LO? a discounted product "why pay more?"... for memberships.

Started very local, tried to become a national brand... failed.

And their last store closed this year (converted to something called "Spud Shed" - surprisingly not located in Alberton) ... there's still time.

And yet the Crows have a bigger international footprint. go figure.

No Majority of the Port Supporters and Spectators are Locals and constantly come across as locals,
Your Supporters are constantly ranting about Local based Clubrooms, how Port is a true local base club.
Port from the start branded themselves as a Local Club for Locals. and now pay the piper for that.
Kochie saw this, others in your club see this, But they are struggling to move your supporter base away from being regarded as Locals.
Kochie attempted to take your brand national but your supporter complain and he has to tone down.
When you attempt to branch out into other countries you go Local, You say its China deal but in reality, it's only a Local Shanghai deal.
It may pan out for you guys, who truly knows with the Chinese.
Even your Port supporting Media friends push the fact Port is a local club for the local community, and push it hard.

Have a good look at your clubs branding and how they are Position as a Local Club more than National.
More importantly, have a good look at your supporters and ask why are they pushing the Local club

While you are at it can you Tell me Why is it a big deal to your supporter that the Crows do not have a local Clubroom,

Let's be honest Port have positioned themselves to be an Old Fashion true Local Club. In a National competition.

Who says we don't have our pick of companies?

According to LR and others, we extended the deadline because we needed to decide which major sponsor we wanted to go with.
Unfortunately, business decisions like this aren't beholden to whether or not the 2018 jumper is ready to be wheeled out or not. But ISC and the club wanted to roll something out for Christmas, so they went with Oak front and back.

If people REALLY cared about getting the right jumper, just give people a Port Store gift card for Christmas and wait until the season starts. It's not hard.

Ahahahahahahaha
My sides

Ahahahahahahaha

Coz every major sponsor wants a minor sponsor in their spot !

Nah, Rite Price.
They try and make all the knock offs and rejects appealing but when you open the wrapper it's just that disgusting dry chocolate with that white powdery substance covering it.
