Lost a 2nd though in the Ablett trade iirc.
If it's meant to be as deep as they suggest then we may roux not having that pick.

2nds irrelevant because it would probably have gone in a bid on oscar b anyway. Which is why we stocked up on later picks to cover the points. Club will be hoping neither oscar or bailey (if the latter nominates us) get bid before 20 which gives us a live 1st rounder and then we can use our 3rd rnd + rich 3rd rnd + carl and gc 4th rnds to cover those bids (may need to trade some other fringe players out for picks in the 45-65 range if we need extra points).

Will we have a first round pick next year or did we burn it?
It is supposed to be a good draft next year.
Turbocat

We have our r1 + r3 + rich r3 and gc and carl r4s. Obviously we will be hoping rich gc and carl finish as low on the ladder as possible. Up to 4 F/S picks for us if all nominate us and all are draftable standard (long way to go).

OK. It is a long way off, but given that we drafted all smalls/mids this year in the ND, do you see us going KPD/F's in this next draft?

We might look at KPD, I kind of doubt we would look at KPF. But a lot of that depends on how House/Buzza/Ratugolea/Gardner are shaping up at the end of the season.

I would think it depends on whether or not we delist more talls than smalls at the end of 2018 as to what player types we look to restock with. But since none of the FS kids are KPPs it might influence us to pick some talls with our other picks.

We desperately need a KPF but the strike rate of drafting A grade ones outside of early first round picks isnt great. KPDs can be more readily drafted with later picks.

How many marking forwards do you want on the list, though? With Crameri, Stanley, Hawkins, Buzza, Menzel, Ratugolea already vying for basically 2-3 positions in the 22 adding another guy would prove to be quite difficult as either the 1sts or 2nds will end up very top heavy.

I'm not against adding another if we can get a good prospect into the system, but it will likely have to mean exiting at least one of these guys and possibly even a second because 6 is a lot while also having two specialist rucks and Blicz (so I would imagine that's Crameri/Stanley/Savrat on the chopping block, maybe Menz).

Our seconds is already top heavy
Stanley, Ratagoleua, Buzza and Dobson in one Forward line with Abbott, Henry and potentially House playing there

With all the hype surrounding the depth of the draft, I am hoping Wells might snag us another sneaky Jpod.

You may well be right in the end but stamping Crameri's papers after a couple of light training sessions in mid January is bold,I'll at least wait till after the preseason.

To be fair I actually said I doubted we would draft any KPF because of how many marking forwards we already have - but that if we are going to draft one then someone gets cut. Rookies are generally the first out in that situation.

Brownless will only cost us a 3rd or 4th rounder IMO... He won't be a Top 30 pick from what I'm hearing.

If we can get one of B Scott or Walsh, along with Brownless; then we probably had another good year of drafting.

Was Walsh not a top 10 prospect or am i confused. I know he trained with us preseason I think...

O'Connor , Henry and Cramerie are the only tallish rookies on the list. The rest are all short people.

O'Connor is a midfielder, Henry I'm still not sure how to classify? Seems somewhere between a third tall and a flanker.

I’m willing to take a bet that some w***er club will put an early bid in.
Seems to be the way, we always be mr nice guy to all these clubs and they tend to not repay the favor
Second round bid is coming
