Hmm, not many good "new" anime these days. But I can recommend you plenty of good anime. Let me know what you've seen and I'll make a list for you :thumbsu:

Well I've watched a lot of the popular stuff like One Piece, Dragonball, Hunter x Hunter, Death Note, Attack on Titan etc. I guess I like a lot of stuff like them but am looking for some different things to watch.

Also heading back to Japan in a couple of months and will be looking for some manga to buy so looking to see what's out there

If you havent seen any of the below then try;

Newish:
Overlord
Drifters
Juuni Taisen
Parasyte

Older:
Zankyou No Terror
Monster
Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin
Steingate
Higashi no Eden
Durarara!
Ergo proxy
Shiki
Sidonia no Kishi

Sports:
Ping Pong the anime ( not your typical sports anime, the art is weird af but the story is deep)
Haikyuu ( Volleyball, awesome anime )

Shiki is really good. I liked Parasyte but thought it petered out a bit toward the end.

Katanagatari is one I really liked. It's the Nisio Isin adaptation without the T&A (but is still as wordy). It originally aired over the full course of a year, with each one-hour episode coming out each month, but you can watch it however you want now. It has one of the best final episodes of an anime I've seen.

oooo havent heard of katanagatari, will add this to my list. I really enjoy historical themed anime.

Juni Taisen is a wicked 12-episode series.

My Hero Academia is amazing. Basically Sky High with Kurt Russell as an anime. Hanging out for season 3.

Just finished Attack on Titan and don't think I've ever seen a show be more overrated. Not bad, but not as amazing as it's made out to be.

Didn't like it much at first, but once I finished it and looked back over the whole series, yeah... It was pretty brilliant.

And hand-drawn, which I dig.

Didn't know it was hand drawn. That's great! The visuals are stunning.

Story got pretty deep after I thought it was just shallow after the first episode. I almost even shed a tear haha .

(For anyone wanting to watch it's on Netflix. English voices for those that want it. 10 episodes)

It gets a little... Uh.... Dark.

Anyone seen devilman crybaby?

R rated epicness.
yeah nah think I'll pass on that one I know how the story ends, I don't mind dark themes but I'm not a fan of shows that end with everything that has happened being basically meaningless.

Hey guys, I stumbled here somehow. As you can probably tell by my Avatar, I'm a huge OP fan, but the anime and not the manga. The latest arc has me so excited, We're gonna find out exactly how strong Luffy is post-TS, and I'm hoping we're only on WCI for another, say, 8 months rather than have another Dressrosa where we were there for 2 and a half years. I'm not a big anime watcher otherwise though.
