I got to it through google. Basically says that because Tippett's payout was so high, it doesn't fit in this year's salary cap and has to be included in next year's as well - so he will probably have to be listed so that they can pay him. So 2 years as a listed player without playing.great link. I need to subscribe to the Australian to read.

You courted Motlop, Watts, Trengove too you know?
Which one of these would you pick over him?
Amon, Toumpas, Trengove, Farrell, Bonner, Garner, Howard, Patmore, Lienert, Barry, Houston, Hewett or Sam Gray?
Wines is probably worth that much.I doubt we are paying Matt Crouch the $800k a year Ollie will want from Port.
Crouch so far is the better player, playing the same role.

Loosing Tippet as a player proved to be minimal. It was the draft picks we lost that hurt plus a poor decision to recruit Angus Graham and draft Sam Siggins as our first draft pick.I got to it through google. I like this idea. I know some will say the players have a right to privacy over income and managers will say negotiations need to be kept secret. But if everybody's wage was on the table people can see if a club is rortingServes them right but at the end of the day the AFL should release this stuff so we are all on the same page rather than the constant speculation and club cover ups.
Would think the AFLPA would also like it to increase bargaining power.I like this idea. I know some will say the players have a right to privacy over income and managers will say negotiations need to be kept secret. But if everybody's wage was on the table people can see if a club is rorting
Angus Graham cost us 2/3 of 3/5 of SFA. Siggins may have been our first draft pick, but it was still only #62. It's not as if players picked in the 60s have a high strike rate of success at the best of times.Loosing Tippet as a player proved to be minimal. I hope no Taswegian has anything to do with them, after the way they treated Gold Coast and Canberra. Some interesting membership drives down here in Tassie for North Melbourne ... got these from our school for my youngest.

Basically any Prep kid can get a 2 adults / 2 kids membership for North's Tassie games completely FREE... OR any primary school kid can get it for $50 ($25 comes back to the school).
Not that we should be demonising clubs for making the footy cheaper to attend, but if footy tickets need to be given away surely it's just papering over the cracks? I'm assuming these memberships will make their way into some statistical report showing great support for North in Hobart?
PS - I think I'd cry if we somehow ended up playing North in the GF and I missed this opportunity to get into the queue cheaply !!
Wines is probably worth that much.
Mrouch will be worth that much too if he continues with 2017 form. Just watch out for the next contract negotiation. Big $$ unless he falls off a cliff.

Yeah we were gagging for two castaways, had to settle for two firsts instead. No with Watts and Trengove, both were offered with the Lever deal, Crows refuse to deal.

In that article they also pointed out the Franklin deal, 31 at the moment and contracted until 2022.Definetly the Swans.
Cost us an underperforming Vince and probably Patrick Cripps but after the Sando spike we were never winning a flag, especially when Tex went down.
Ended up with Eddie Betts and Matt Crouch, it's been a slow build but Sydney still have to live with the huge pay burden.
Franklin to take over from Tippett in a few ears as a highly paid non-playing player. In that article they also pointed out the Franklin deal, 31 at the moment and contracted until 2022.

I know the end sneak up, but he'll go close you'd think. Though at 1mil per year, it will sting even if he only falls a couple short. In that article they also pointed out the Franklin deal, 31 at the moment and contracted until 2022.
