Interesting, thoughts?

Please please please make the national reserves comp happen. Curtain-raiser reserves teams - just like the good ol' days.

Crows and Port gone from the SANFL is the first step in making that an equitable comp. Could not give one knob of goat poo if it turns into a third tier comp behind AFL and VFL.

SANFL to invite Port Melbourne and Williamstown to join our comp......obviously with the necessary $2m license fee.
:)

So (as reported in the age) Koch has had a go at Kennett over Hawthorn’s use o poker machines......sorry don’t port generate $6m if revenue a year from poker machines?

Meanwhile the article also included this:

“Port Adelaide and the AFL each lost $200,000 on last year’s Shanghai game after covering unforeseen costs from Channel Seven for covering the match against Gold Coast.”

Port sure kept this quiet!

Waiting for the spin on this one.....took a loss on the game, didn’t get a major sponsor out of it, couldn’t even fill the stadium.....BUT China, China, China! Koolaid, Koolaid, Koolaid!

It's becoming more and more clear why Seven dropped that game after just one year. The lack of interest from viewers was an obvious reason, but it sounds like the costs were a factor as well.

It's odd how we don't get inundated by posters from yonder about how good this China thing is anymore.

i'd be surprised if it is on next year if they take another loss

The sole reason it’s happening this year is because Metricon isn’t available until mid season.

Once the Gold Coast have normal use of Metricon they’ll cut the China game quicker than 7 covering up Indigenous protests.

How about they use non AFL players like Norwood, Sturt, Woodville/West Torrens, South Adelaide, North Adelaide, Glenelg, Central Districts and West Adelaide do? And continue as Port Adelaide Magpies. With the AFL Port Power having a reserves side. Two separate entities as has always been or are they just concerned about the embroidery costs of changing that 1870 logo on the jumpers.

Because that’s pretty well what the whole clusterf*** was before the One Club charade was pushed.

Less than a week after Kochie announced the indigenous Centre at Port...

I can understand linking the 2 for a bit of a giggle but the reality is 7 DOES need to take into consideration the viewing audience and the potential offense. The reality is that 7 do have to censor the outside opinions of every TD&H that feels aggrieved, or anyone that thinks having a FU KOchy sign is funny.

Now the right thing to do is to remove this folksy open window facade and return to a studio setting.

That would be the thing to do if they genuinely cared about being an SANFL club.

However, I'm sure the image of having history would come first here and Port Adelaide would become part of the national reserves... What happens when they play collingwood?
