Okay Ando what's happening down at Norf?
The coach has stepped aside, is there dramas?
Also notice a couple of late clearances OUT of the club.
Is everyone on the same page down there?

From sources, Albanvale got put to the test by Point Cook Centrals over the weekend. Can anyone confirm? Doesn't sound like they'll be the threat they hoped. Any notable changes down Station Road?

Word on Manor Lakes has been suspiciously quiet. Could they be a sleeping giant?

Wouldn't think you could refer to Manor Lakes as a sleeping Giant. Under the radar maybe but most would have the top 4 this year.

I don't think there is much difference between Div 2 and Div 3 clubs.

Surely your having a laugh.
I hope you are anyway.
And who are the guaranteed top 4.
Any good praccy matches this weekend.

Nope, I reckon in 2014 there was a massive gap. Since then Parkside, Wests and Glenorden have almost fallen over Manor Lakes had to go backwards after over spending in first year and two clubs Caroline Springs and Wyndhamvale have gone into Div 1. I don't think North or Yarraville will be as strong as they were last year. The standard of Div 2 since 2014 has dropped significantly and the standard of Div 3 football has improved a lot.

North footscray play Tarneit after Easter, this will show the gap from what should be the best 2 sides from each division

Mate the top 4 sides in div2 would absolutely destroy any div 3 club in an actual game for premiership points with full teams.
If you think any different then you are living on a different planet to us Earthlings.
And the North Tarneit game won’t show anything. It’s a practise match where teams try new things and play around with things a lot.
It’s a dumb comment all together

YSE v Point Cook Centrals on Saturday at Featherbrook
North v Wyndham on Saturday at Goddard St

A couple of good ones in there.

Good game in windy conditions Wyndham Suns took it up to North Footscray with North winning 10 17 to 9 4 ............very impressed with Wyndham Suns very fast and young side a lot better than Newport West Foot and Albanvale last season IMO

So you were impressed by a div 3 side pushing A div 2 side with at least half there actual senior side not playing.
Easily impressed then!!

I was also at the Suns v North game and agree with Ando. The Suns had 9-10 out of their best 22 also not playing today so I'd say that evens it out a little more than you think

I think the League should change back to having 2 Divisions.
Div 1 stays as 10
Div 2 becomes 16 and everyone plays each other once and has a Top 8 Finals Series.
There's not a huge difference at the moment between Div 2 & the top couple in Div 3 and there's always upsets in every League each year.
The bottom 3-4 sides in Div 3 are consistently down the bottom each year so it won't make to much difference in that regard.
But what it does do is gives clubs in Div 3 who want to progress and eventually get to Div 1 a better opportunity of achieving this.
At the moment clubs are stuck in Div 3 until they win a Grand Final which we all know aren't easy to win.
A club in Div 3 can do things the right way and build a team over 2-3 years only to have a club do what Parkside did. I don't mean to disrespect Parkside in saying that because they had to work hard as a team but the way they went about things over the past few years wasn't the right way.
Potentially each year there would be 10-11 Teams fighting it out for a top 8 Position and anything can happen come finals.
Also a lot of players won't play Div 3 football so if the League did change it back the current Div 3 clubs would be able to recruit better footballers.

That's not a good idea.
Div 1 is a big step up from Div 2 and if you combine Div 2 and 3 and only play each other once it's not a true indication of what the game is, just like the AFL.
keep it as is.

3 Divisions has been fantastic for most. Was only 3 years ago we were seeing 200 point winning margins. Why would you want to see that again? Div 3 has been very competitive ever since. Division 2 will improve with Point Cook.
