Dont swipe on anyone. Drop km radius to lowest. Leave it out there for a few days. Like bait. Then reopen and if anyone pops up see how far away they are and if beyond your km radius you know they have swiped right on you.

The temptation when you join is to swipe away. But the key is not to. Set radius to 2km (minimum?) and swipe on like 1-2. Then leave it. For a few days. Give time for others to swipe on you. At least a day but 2-3 is better.

Then. When you start swiping, dont just do it on main profile. Tap it so it brings up profile including how far they are away from you. If they come up as more than2km then they have only come up because they have swiped right.
If they are 2km then they may have swiped left or right.
 
But won't you still just end up with a bunch of girls who you'd either swipe left on, not improving your situation, or who you would've matched up with evenutally anyway?

Or am I missing something here?

For most girls, when they swipe right on someone it is nearly always a match as the guys have swiped first. If they swipe on someone and it doesnt come up with a match straight away it can differentiate you.
Plus by doing this you are just looking at those you know have swiped right on you.
People pay for this feature.

I've got way too much time on my hands so let's do a comparison using this thread of totally true stories:
