You reckon? We know definitely that they have made written complaints re the umpiring in at least one match last year. Much prefer this than to be seen as a whinger and complainer like the Scotts etc. I will put in one complaint to the Grammar Police though. Club is singular, so should be, "our club is like a church mouse..."

Written complaints don't work. Public complaints from coaches/officials and visual protests from on field leaders is what works. It's sad but true.

Yeh, but they come out looking like a Scott brother, and/or fined by the AFL for their efforts. You often see guys like Clarkson, Kenny, etc, roll their eyes with a sardonic "no comment" when asked about an umpire decision. It really is as close as they can go in showing public dissent. The best statement we can make is on-field, by beating the odds, the opposition, and the system! To me, this is the Port Adelaide way.

Yeah his first year at the Dogs was his second year in the system so he was still on normal draftee salary, but the subsequent years of his contract are understood to be around $1 million per year.

I really think the best option, which is at least vaguely plausible, would've been a 1-in-melbourne, 1-interstate, repeat sequence. So it would go MCG - Perth Stadium - MCG - Adelaide Oval - MCG - Gabba - MCG - SCG. Keeps the large venue in action but doesn't monopolise it.

It's all about Vic and the Vic clubs. Long live the VFL.

This separation in deals and finance between clubs pisses me off too. I hate that our club has the SANFL leeching so much money off us to fund the local comp while these Vic clubs do NOT have to fund the local VFL in anywhere near the same manner.

We need the AFL to fund all competitions equally, Take over the SANFL, WAFL, etc. Maintain all of the junior structure, distribute money evenly but most importantly take money evenly. All the rest of the comps are only feeder leagues anyway.
