They do have free Membership and they have counted them in the total. The AFL will do an audit of their Members. Watch it come down when that is completed.

No coincidence that this announcement's been made months before this year's Victorian state election. As a Ballarat resident, I'm a beneficiary. The footy stadium Port played at here will receive a multi-million dollar upgrade. About $30m was spent on the ground prior to the Port-Bulldogs game last year.

It's handy living in a marginal seat.

I don't see why there was a need to lock in a 25 year extension on the MCC deal now when there was still more than a decade to go on the existing deal.

I dont care so much about the MCG deal, but everything else is propping up the Vic clubs, to ‘strenghthen’ them from grass roots up, make Vic footy too again...

THE MCG will be the home of the Grand Final until at least 2057 under a mega-deal with the Victorian government expected to be announced on Friday.

The agreement with premier Daniel Andrews' Labor government and the AFL is part of a broader sports package that will see $225million in investment in Etihad Stadium and the Docklands precinct.

Additional funding is set to be provided to improve facilities for the rapid growth of women's football and elite local level sport in key suburbs and regional areas.
