Diggers list still looks strong enough to win first up by 10-15pts.
Melton just at home ... no idea about either.
If Wallan are gunna be any good, looking at the two named squads they win by 15 goals minimum.

Good luck men, looking forward to getting around a bit more to watch senior footy now that watching an U/19.5 thirds comp is irrelevant to me.

Major power outage in the area earlier, take the 2pts men

Power obviously affecting the webpage I can’t see scores from Centrals/Rockbank or goals/best players from today’s games?

We have a split round later in the year surely it can be sorted out that they play then.
Neither side would be happy with only two points I would think.

Anyone else been following Martin Flanagan of late?

Must say after some of his recent articles I'm a fraction torn between my (at times) pointed thoughts towards some of AFL Goldfields idea's, methods or management and processes directed the RDFL's way .... perhaps they too are simply doing what's rolled down from "City Hall."

Either way this whole chain of command thing is seriously threatening local footy big time more than even I first realised.

It troubles me up to the north where I spent a lot of my footy time, to the point where I think a complete re-gig is a must otherwise more clubs may decline. Sadly it seems that if clubs try and look after "their" best interests and that of their players, parents, supporters, communities alike in a way that don't sit well with City Hall then they're stuffed.

Thats more dictator like yeh, and not supporting those that pay the fee's to actually participate in community level sport. She's a user pay world now but if those funds aren't coming back then how long do communities keep paying?

Watched the Broadford V Wallan game Saturday. The ground had a lot of surface water but surprisingly held up well with no mud but very slippery conditions.Broadford obviously struggling Atm and in for long year but could not question the their attack on the footy with no backward steps.Gallini and Hibbens and no4 key back ?name?best for Roos in my eyes.Wallan looked ok but still a ruck and key forward short to challenge top tier of teams.OSullivan as is the norm busted his ar$e and Saladino and Stewart best for Wallan. In the 2s I see Pete Ezard still playing at 58 yo for Roos (fair effort)which shows the stuggle they gunna face all year.
Was hard to match names to numbers for Roos as record did not show and noticed very few teams in record had full lists.I know its only round 1 but thats
$hithouse and needs to be fixed.Looking at Centrals it lists Sproule as coach of seniors and thirds? If so thats a huge commitment and I applaud and wish him well.
Season only young but it already looks like usual suspects in Rupo,Diggers Macedon and Riddel top 4 with the rest making up numbers fighting for 5th and 6th

Watched the replay of the Broadford v Wallan game and good on the commentators for doing their best calling the game. They had problems with the jumpers and not knowing some of the players, but I thought they did a really good job and it was very amusing to go along with it. Well done fellas.
