It seems the EFL have decided that our junior ladders will not have percentages because of the the fear of one sided games.Have reservations about that one but if going down that path perhaps once sides 10 goals in front the scoreboard stops and remains the score line and match continues.

I remember playing Juniors a few years back we beat a few teams by 150 odd points in the first few rounds. Our % should’ve been off the charts but it seemed they limited it to 200% or so? Never could understand why but we finished 1st nonetheless.

First world problems....

Perhaps, lets go 1 step further and interested in your thoughts.Get rid of percentages in senior EFL football then and go down the same path EFL juniors have when sides are on equal points at the end of the season.UFTG 2's finish equal 4th and have a better percentage to the other team but because no percentages the final position is decided on match results the 2 teams have played against each other earlier in the season.

How does removing percentages stop a one sided game?
Bizarre move.

It wont, but their justification is if no % then there is no incentive for coaches to keep trying to win by bigger margins and instead maybe give others a go in 1 sided games?

Very clearly made by people who can't remember their own childhood anymore and that kids will still want to keep winning by as much as possible

What are you trying to achieve at a senior level by doing this?

Lets be honest though, no % is a far lesser problem than the no boundary umpire rule!!!
It wasnt a rule, it was a mandate by the EFL. Umpires like myself hate it, coaches hate it, players hate it and spectators hate it. Despite the hate I'm dumbfounded as to why clubs didn't do more to express their grievances with the idea. In the end the only people who stood to lose was the confusion of the crowd and the umpires who had to adjudicate it.
