I got that vibe from him once when I chatted to him at an SANFL game.

I guess being heavily involved with Supercoach makes him a bit if a Footy nerd as well.

Makes you wonder why he does not see the value in crashing packs to create loose ball opportunities in our forward line.

Although he has improved a fair but this year in regards to co ntested work.

I gotta tell this story again. On the way to the dream final, my mate said "I had a funny dream last night. I dreamed about the game and Rutten kicked a goal on Tredrea. Jesus wouldn't that be funny" (words to that effect). I kid you not.

Heard the Sat morning show on AA saying the other day that Tex is a good player, but he's no superstar like a Tredrea. I'm not saying Tex is a superstar, but saying that Tredrea is...........?

Do you want to perhaps reassess that? Buddy kicked 1 goal on Talia last year in 3quarters and that was 100m, 2 bounce freak of a goal. Talias again kept him to 1 freak goal that was in no way Talias fault.

Buddy’s certainly kicked 4 goals on Talia in the past, but never more than that. When you’re talking about a player of Franklins ilk, that’s a reasonable effort. Franklin will comfortably kick 5 on a bad day without breaking a sweat.

Pregame, I wrote a post suggesting that Talia was by far the best option and he proved me right. Franklins a freak, he’s going to kick freak goals. You want to stop him taking easy grabs inside the F50, which he does against undersized, more agile opponents(see Massie debacle). You need to force him to rely on freak goals and shots from outside 50.

Talia is the best shut down defender in the game, you need to back him to do his job against the best, because if he can’t do it, the next Guy sure as hell cant.

Tex is 7th on leading goalkickers this year. and he's played 1 less game than everyone above him. Helps that his accuracy is so good.

Well I did say that I back Talia against anyone other than buddy. So It’s hardly fair to say I don’t back him in. Talia’s performance on Buddy was text book brilliant. It was a great team job with us having 2 on 1 wherever possible. It takes a village to do that job and Talia is the mayor. As you say Buddy has kicked bags on us before and not many forwards do that, which is why I said he is the one forward that is the exception.

I hardly think it’s fair to say I was bagging Talia when my post was quite the opposite.

The middle of his career he was one of the best CHF’s in the comp, competing with Brown, Riewoldt, Richardson, Pavlich etc. His last couple of years weren’t as strong with his knee issues, but his best was outstanding.
