Turned that 2nd song off after ten seconds. What a disgrace. I'm guessing it turns out to be parody but yeah nah.

Not a parody. I'm not big on hip hop, but I do know Joyner Lucas is not a fat, bearded, white bloke. You should watch the video.

Yeah you completely missed the point.

As I said, I'm assuming there was a twist to it but I still don't like listening to it.
That's the entire point. Well done on missing the point of the song.

For someone who rarely listens to or even likes this genre, even I could appreciate the artistry of the song and the clever and confronting way in which it was presented. It made you think.

I'm not sure you could fully express or convey the messages of the song in quite the same manner if it was sung in another genre. Rap is story-telling and this song told a powerful story.

Random fact: The Avalanches song samples lyrics from "Why Can't I Get It Too" by Six Boys In Trouble. I thought I recognised the words, and was trying to figure out from where...

Turns out Bonobo used some of the lyrics in his track "All In Forms"!

Sorry but absolutely untrue. People like Bob Dylan were politicizing songs long before rap/hip hop ever existed.
