F1 2018 Championship - Round 6 - Monaco

All 3 were there
Yeah but typically they're in a secure area in pit lane. No room at Monaco and trying to prevent interference with the cars. Notice that it was all mechanics etc behind them

Pretty much, parc ferme is tiny at Monaco so they don't have the room for 3 cars unlike everywhere else.
If all the cars in Monaco tried to be on the roads of Monaco all at the same time, they wouldn't fit. Also if you have a Monaco registered car, you cannot be fined or lose points on your licence if you are speeding in France.

Now onto to Indy. Will Power starting on the front row, if he’s gets it done, today/tonight could be the greatest day in Australian Motorsport history.

Going to nap for a couple of hours and wake up at 3:30, should see the second half of 500.
He did it!

Holy s**t this had a been a crazy night. This should be on all the papers across the country, Australians win Monaco and Indy, in the same night!

2 wins apiece for VET HAM RIC

RIC had pace in Spain... won his first race in Canada... I’m daring to dream
If Max had moved out of his way earlier on in Baku like he should have, you could probably add another 10-12 points to Daniels total. Would make things interesting to say the least...

It was a sterling performance, a worthy win in a rather interesting Monaco GP (a lot better than Spain, can’t always be enthusiastic about Monaco but this time...).

That was a helluva drive! To control the race mistake free despite a significant mechanical failure is quite incredible. It couldn't have been a better advert of his ability to the team managers of potential landing destinations for next year. And of course it couldn't happen to a better bloke. :thumbsu:

One of the great wins in recent times, absolutely outstanding.

Christian Horner:

“He’s lost about 25 percent of the power of the engine and because of the way these engines work, that’s making his rear brake temperatures going through the roof.

“Then your brake temperatures go out of control, then the fuel, tires going off and he just managed it like he was on a Sunday afternoon drive.

“He was moving the switches around, driving, saving fuel, saving brakes, saving tires, asking what’s going on with Max [Verstappen]’s tires and whatever else. He drove an unbelievable race this weekend.”

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko agreed with Horner, saying he felt only Ricciardo was capable of retaining the lead of the race with a car in that condition.

“It was a serious problem and he managed it unbelievably,” Marko added. “I don’t think any other driver could have done it.
