Average ACLs per club per year .5 - 1.0~

2012 - Gray
2014 - Colquhoun
2016 - Howard
2018 - Hartlett, Hayes

Yeah, we've had a pretty good run as a club.

Still sucks for the young fella. Hope he recovers well and doesn't miss too much of a beat upon return.

It is what it is. Did not brendon lad have 2 leg/knee injuries one where a team mate jumped into him. Which i always thought was crap when playing. So gymn time for upper body etc and can have a career like lade. Overcast and drizzling in carsacone.

All the best to the great man, horrible news.

I walked past him on Morphett St a few weeks ago, he is going to be a big boy when fully mature (already is a nice size). I was impressed with him at family day.

Matthew Lade broke his leg twice. The second time he had a titanium rod implanted to assist the healing. How times have changed, in 2000 when Ladey broke his leg we had Matthew Primus to carry the rucks and Dean Brogan on the Rookie List.

All the best to young Hayes hope he is back early next year.

Coincidentally so did Brendon ;)

In 2000 we also had French who played almost every game, Ackland on the senior list as well as Darren Burton on the rookie list.

The only possible plus to Sam Haye's injury is it SHOULD wake the club up to the fact it has to recruit a break glass type ruckman ( or better if available ) as back up for Ryder for next season, and if Paddy succumbs to injury again this season we know we are basically f***** anyway. :(

Great minds think alike.

2001 we had 5 on the list

Primus 2nd year back from his ACL, Lade 2nd broken leg, French broken arm, Ackland played first 12 games, Brogan not really ready yet and played a few games at end of season.

end of 2001 we recruited Brooks and had 6 on the list for 2002. Brogan had injuries, Lade played 2nd half of the year but struggled as his leg wasn't right yet and French played a lot of games.

End of 2002 we trade out Brooks and French and down to Primus, Lade, Brogan and Ackland. All 4 had played AFL footy at the start of 2003. 3 had an history of serious injuries.

At start of 2018 we had 4 rucks on the list, only 1 had played AFL and 3 had history of injuries concerns.

Sam Hayes listed as 'Assess' on this week's injury list.

Will be interesting to see how we use Sammy and Ladhams in the same side.

Just of glandular fever and knee reconstruction. Sam plays a half as a forward.

He can just cruise around for a month make sure the body is right.

The glandular fever thing is a worry. You don't really know if you are completely right until you are physically stressed right out and can recover ok.
