Commentators

I would like to introduce the commentators for the match. Firstly a player who needs no introduction as a known antagonist around the SFA, PhenomenalV1

And Secondly its a player yet to play a match in the SFA, who is already making a name for himself. Welcome to the Dud Qooty player in waiting kdavva74 .

Breaking News

On the Eve on the Inaugural 'Dingster's Rookies vs Captains Cup, a shocking story coming out of the Monstars camp on the eve of the game. It seems a majority of the SFA are not happy with the exclusion of one of the Mobbs Medal favourite of season 25 being left out of the squad. Blaze Storm, arguably the best all round player in the competition and 2nd best Ruck man behind Star Rookie U2tigers. U2Tigers is blown away that his Ruck Idol has been left out of the Monstars team, wondering how it was possible with the form he was in. What is even more confusing is that his fellow Dragon team mate in The Half Back is the coach of the Monstars. (I won't let the fact that the team was picked before The Half Back signed as captain, get in the way of a good story) The Dragons still in the Finals race when this was written may be just focusing on the Premiership, but their could also be more to this. More to Follow.

Fun Facts

1. Red Hot Rookie star BLERN was a much loved poster in the SFA as a GWS supporter. Not so much anymore -#lolnorf

2. The Home and Away Posting stats of both sides. (These stats include coaches for each team)

S25 Red Hot Rookies had a total of 13148 posts in H&A match threads.

The SFA Monstars had a total of 13020 posts in the H&A match threads

MATCH UPS

Red Hot Wonders - Defense

B: Percel - Runk - _Mike_
HB: Tigerturbulance - rickety - sausageroll

Percel - Had 1 game in the forward line in S25, before moving into defence where he played the important role af FB for the majority of his games against the monster FF's of the competition. Percel took a total of 40 marks averaging 2.5 marks a game. Percel averaged 33.6 DT points per game. Percel will be a steady and reliable hand down back for the Rookies. haydo looks like his match up, so he will have some work to do.

Runk - Started his career on the HFF, before getting some good midfield time. But was then moved back to the HFF to finish the season. Runk averaged 16.9 disposals per game finishing in 52nd in the SFA in that stat. Runk averaged 62.3 DT points per game. Will the gamble to move him in defense be a bad move for the Rookies. He is playing against Blacky, so the Rookies are looking forward to a strong performance.

_Mike_ - Played in the Forward Pocket for the entire season, and likens himself to a PVF type player in the SFA. Mike kicked 29 goals this season finishing 16th on the goal tally. He also averages 29.2 DT points this season. ANother player who the Rookies are gambling on to play in a position he normally doesn't play. Lets hope he is fresh enough after playing for the Roys in the GF. _Mike_ needs to keep his feet and not be intimidated by BigJoeD_.

Tigerturbulance - joined a little bit later this season, but made an immediate impact in the match threads. He played as a HFF in his first season in the SFA. Any stats I quote will be a bit difficult as he came in late to the league. He did however average 48 DT points per game. Lets hope he shines in a move to the back line. I would say his aggressiveness will hold him in good stead against Thatsapaddlin.

rickety - Season 25 was a lot of finding his feet and a position to settle into a position with his Grand Final team the Swamprats. He did settle later in the season at CHB, so is coming in with some very strong form at this position, but he will need it coming against league powerhouse Mobbs. Rickety managed 39.3 DT points per game.

sausageroll - Spent the first 6 weeks at HFF before a more permanent move into the midfield where he played both as a Ruck and on the wing. sausageroll is a huge player for the Rookies, bringing all his previous rookie experience into the match, hes a real leader for us. In his 7 games in the ruck he had a total of 69 hitouts, and averaged 15.9 disposals a game for season 25. Sausageroll averaged 59.6 DT points per game. Needs a huge game if the Rookies are to win this match.

VS

SFA Monstars - Offense

HF: Cloud_ - Mobbs - Thatsapaddlin
F: BigJoeD_ - Blacky - haydo

Cloud_ - Cloud_ played in the middle and as a Ruck this season, getting a total of 101 hitouts, placing him 11th in that statistic. Cloud has been shown to be a prolific ball winner in season 25, scoring an impressive 1298 DT points at an average of 81.1 per week. Cloud finished 5th in the SFA for DT points. With only 13 goals in Season 25, the move to the forward line is a risky one, and the Monstars will be hoping he can beat the most experienced rookie sausageroll in a 1 on 1 match up.

Mobbs - The SFA Legend, has been an impact player in season 25, coming off the bench 12 times. The 3 orther games Mobbs started deep in defence, so a question has to be asked if the critical CHF job is his best role. Mobbs took a total of 34 marks this season, and averaged 24.7 DT points per game. Mobbs main role in this game could be to make rickety accountable, and stop him from assisting in the other contests.

Thatsapaddlin - My records show he played in the ruck on 10 occaisions, but his 29 hitouts for the season, averaging less then 3 hitouts per match just doesn't seem right. I think he played more from the RR position. Thatsapaddlin finished with an impressive average of 15.8 posessions a game in Season 25, and an average of 65.7 DT points a game. Thatsapaddlin will sure to bring his aggressive side when he faces off against the aggressive Tigerturbulance.

BigJoeD_ - Played 15 of 16 games in the ruck this season, where he had a total of 166 hitouts at the average of 10.4 hitouts per match, where he finished 6th in that stat. BigJoeD_ had an impressive 16.9 average disposal a round, in what can be describes as a very good season. 67.3 DT points was his average for the season as well. _Mike_ will be buy trying to stop this seasoned veteran.

Blacky - is playing in his familiar FF role, where he played the entire Season 25. With a 3rd in the Goal scoring table for season 25, the Monstars have a great avenue to goal. Blacky had a total of 66 goals this season, which was just 3 behind Dingster and BRAB . A healthy 60.2 DT points average showed what a good season Blacky had in S25. Runk awaits in on Wednesday night.

haydo - also played all his season 25 games at Full Forward, and was in red hot form in the first 6 or so games, charging to a goal kicking lead. A shame his kicking became a bit wayward, and he didn't quite recapture his early season form again, although 61 goals for the season and a 6th place finish is nothing to be sneezed at. haydo had an average of 52.8 DT points this season, and rounds out a very formidable forward line for the Monstars.

MIDFIELDS

Red Hot Rookies

C: Cactus_ - GotTheGoodes - por_please_ya
R: U2tigers - YearOfTheRoos - Matty411

Cactus_ - was recruited after 2 rounds of the season. Cactus_ played the majority of the season in the FP/HHF positions, before moving to the wing to finish the last few rounds and for finals. It was a masterstroke move as Cactus_ form was red hot, and he showed he can be a Sim favourite. Cactus_ loved a goal and finished with 15 for the season, he allso had a 42.9 DT point average for the season. His match up with The Filth Wizard should be entertaining.

GotTheGoodes - played half his time in the Centre, then the other half of the season on the wing, where he showed his ball winning abilities. This is shown by his 308 disposals for the season at an average of 19.3 disposals per game. He also averaged 64 DT points a game this season. His match up with @Hatecould be the match up of the game, and the winner in this match up, could go a long way to winning this game. Good Luck to GotTheGoodes for his 1st GF appearence.

por_please_ya - started on the left and stayed there for the whole season. And why would they change her from this position, when she ranked 6th accross the SFA with 349 total disposals at an average of 21.8 disposals per game. por_please-ya is a known ball magnet indeed, higlighted by her 10th placing in DT points with a total of 1245 at an average of 77.8 per game. Her clash with Wooshette is going to be the clash of 2 class Qootball women.

U2tigers - stormed into a Ruck position for the Wonders this season, and was never going to give the spot up. He finished with the most hitouts in the SFA with a total of 202, at an average of 12.6 a game. U2tigers averaged 19.8 disposals and 76.1 DT points per match where he finished in 15th in the SFA. U2tigers looks forward to renewing the rivalry that was formed with KohPhi in season 25, with some saying U2tigers was responsible for KohPhi moving away from the coveted position.

YearOfTheRoos - After starting the seasons first 4 games off the HBF, he moved tot he Ruck positions, where I am pretty sure he had the best average hitouts, although my stats don't allow me to see that. But with 4 less games in the Ruck his total of 173 hitouts is a great result allowing him to finish 4th in that stat. YearOfTheRoos finished 22nd on the DT ladder with an average of 74.2 per game. The Red Hot Rookies have faith that YeraOfTheRoos will dominate this game from the RR position.

Matty411 - played the first half of the season mostly at CHF, but moved to the Ruck in round 9 where he stayed fro the rest of the season. Matty411 had a total of 255 disposals at an average of 15.9 disposals a game. He also liked to tackle finishing with 34 for the season and an average of 61.9 DT points per game. The Red Hot Rookies have every confidence that there 3 rucks can dominate their opponents around the ball.

VS

SFA Monstars

C: Wooshette - Hate - The Filth Wizard
R: KohPhi - fitzroybowiedog - Ant Bear

Wooshette - played 7 games at RR, however spent a lot of time moving around the forward line for the remainder.Wooshette had total of 188 disposals at average 11.8 a game, she also kicked a respetable 24 goals for the season as well. Woosheete had a DT average of 54.6 DT votes for the season. Wooshette will be looking forward to showing her ability against por_please_ya on the wing in this game.

Hate - played all season as a RR, which is showing to be the captains choice of position. Hate is a tackling maching having a total of 87 tackles for the season, finishing 8th in that catagory. Hate also had an average of 19.9 disposals per game and an average of 78.6 DT points, for a total of 1257 which was good enough to place 9th in the SFA. Have vs GotTheGoodes has the making of the match up of the game.

The Filth Wizard
- is another who liked the RR position, where he played 14 of his games. The Filth Wizard had an average of 18.9 disposal per game and finished 20th on the DT table with 1191 DT points at an average of 74.4. The Filth Wizard will need to be at his best to counter the aggressive nature of@Cactus_ in this game and match thread, as Cactus_ refuse to take a backward step.

KohPhi - started out the season in the Ruck for the first 7 games, where he was in pretty dominating form before making way for rookie @MMatty411 to develop. KohPhi then moved to the RR position. KohPhi averaged a touch over 10 hitouts a game, finishing with a total of 75 hitouts. Kohphi averaged 58.7 DT points for the season as well in an impressive year. KohPhi will be looking forward to putting U2tigers back into his box, and making the young rook face the reality of where he actually sits in the SFA.

fitzroybowiedog - was the most impressive of the captains who played in the RR position this season, finishing with 323 disposals at an average of 20.2 a game. But its his 3rd place finish in the DT stat where he shows his dominance. fitzroybowiedog finished with 1373 DT points at an average o 85.5 point in his 3rd place finish. The Monstars will be hoping he can sat fresh after the GF, to lead them to victory over the Red Hot Rookies.

Ant Bear
- played all 16 games in the RR and will also be coming off the GF for this match. Ant Bear had a total of 292 disposals at 18.3 a game. Ant Bear is having a massive week both due to the GF but also for club internal reasons, and will be looking to show that his 21st place in DT points at an average of 74.3 per game was no fluke. Ant Bear may wait for this game to tkae his frustrations out on Matty411, but I am not sure the Red Hot Rookies will allow that to happen.

Red Hot Rookies Offense
HF: TedDougChris - BLERN - SarahSmiles
F: sataris - hotkorma - DapperDon

TedDougChris - played 15 games in which he played at both HBF for 6 games and rover for 9. He has shown he can win the ball averaging 15.8 disposals a game, and 41 tackles for the season. TedDougChris averaged 59.1 DT points in Season 25. The Rookies are hoping a move to the HFF for the match pays dividends, and good luck for him in the GF. He also has the difficult task of lining up against our coach for the match as well, JoshWoodenSpoon.

BLERN - The star rookie found himself playing all of the positions along the centreline. He was a ball magnet which showed, as he finished 11th in disposals with a total of 333 at 15.8 disposals per match. BLERN also finished 2nd in marks in the SFA, with a total of 91 for the season. With an average of 73.4 DT points, the Red Hot Wonders are hoping his prolific ball winning ability will cause concern for cats2rise and the whole Monstars defence.

SarahSmiles - impressed initially on the wing, before moving to the HFF later in the season. SarahSmiles finished in 18th in the SFA for posessions with a total of 325 posessions, at an average of 20.3 per game. He also showed he has a good defensive side to his game with a total of 25 tackles for the season. SarahSmiles averaged 70.9 DT points for the season. He will be a hard match up for Hatchy1992 to deal with.

sataris - was a late starter for the Swamprats, playing 11 rounds of the Home and away in the Forward line, both in a pocket and HFF. Sataris took 22 marks in his 11 games and averaged 33.4 DT points per game. Of note was the excitement his first goal he kicked in his career and how the Rats got all around him. THe Rookies are hoping he can kick a few more for them this match.

hotkorma - had a brilliant year playing in the centre for all games. Like BLERN he finished in a tie for 11th in disposals with 333 disposals at an average of 20.8. He also finished 8th in the SFA for marks with 83 for the season. hotkorma had an average of 73.3 points this season, and its hoped he can settle to the FF position for the Red Hot Rookies. He will need to overpower NaturalDisaster if the Rookies are to get the goals they need.

DapperDon - Played 2 games on the HFF and 14 in the centre. He had a great season in which he finished 5th in the SFA for numberof disposals with 350 at an average of 21.9. DapperDon, although being quiet towards the end of the season in the SFA, he still managed to finish 16th in DT points at an average of 75.7. He is another player the Red Hot Rookies can fire within the forwrd line.

The SFA Monstars Defense
B: Loonerty - NaturalDisaster - Golumless
HB: Hatchy1992 - cats2rise - JoshWoodenSpoon

Loonerty - Is one of the Monstar players, who throughout season 25 sacrificed his own game for his team, playing as RR, FP, HFF and HBF where he did play 8 games. As you can imagine his stats suffered, which is shown by his average of 13.1 disposals and 53.6 DT points per game. Loonerty will match up against DapperDon, and will be hoping to keep the young rookie goalless.

NaturalDisaster
- Like Loonerty he also moved around positions as the team required, playing rover, wing and playing 9 games on a HBF. His personal stats were also down due to this sacrifice, where he averaged 12.1 disposals per game. NaturalDisaster also had an average of 43.4 DT points per game. The Monstars will be hoping NaturalDisaster will use his size and experience to push around Rookies gun@hotkorma.

Golumless - is a captain who knows how to play deep in a backline, where he played 13 games at FB and 3 at the HBF position. Its easy to see why his stats suffer, but his job is to stop his opponent kicking the goals. He averaged 10.3 disposals per match, and had a average of 36.6 DT points to go with it. The Monstars will be hoping his Backline leadership goes along way to help them win this match.

Hatchy1992 - Spent 3 games at HFF and 13 games on the wing. Hatchy knows how to take a mark, taking 70 throughout the season. He also averaged 19.8 Disposals per game and 70.3 DT points per game. Hatchy1992 will have his hands full with a very youthful SarahSmiles trying to run him ragged, or will the experience of Hatchy help turn this game for the Monstars.

cats2rise - No other captain sacrificed their game more the cats2rise, coming off the bench 10 times this season, the other games he was either BP or HBF. cats2rise saw his stats suffer for his selflessness, where he averaged 8.7 disposals per game and 29.6 DT points per game. cats2rise will be relishing the chance to silence star rookie BLERN.

JoshWoodenSpoon
- Due to suspension he only played 15 games on the wing in season 25. JoshWoodenSpoon came 17th in disposals with 326 dispoals at an average of 21.7 per game. He alsotook a total of 72 marks and averaged 75.7 DT points per game in season 25. JoshWoodenSpoon has the experience, but does he have the fitness to run with an in form TedDougChris for the whole of the match.

S25 RED H0T ROOKIES

INT: BombersFan93 - Jade

BombersFan93 - played the majority of the season on a HFF, but did play the 2 games in the Centre. Bomberfan93 did show he can catch a Qootball takig a total of 63 marks for the season. He averaged 13.1 disposals and 54.3 DT points to go with it. BombersFan93 will be a great asset for the Red Hot Rookies, and should see himself injected into the action early.

Jade - I only just learnt why we no longer see Jade around the traps, a shame the re-sim ruined a very promising career in the SFA, just ask Jade, Jade would have told you. Jade played 15 games at FF and kicked a total of 47 goals for the season. Jade averaged 37.3 DT points for the season, and will be a great player to throw forward if required.

The SFA Monstars
INT: Wacky Tiger, 3121 premiers

Wacky Tiger - played a mixture of 6 games on the HBF and 9 games in the FP for the Furies this year. Wacky Tiger averaged 8.1 disposals per game and took a total of 31 marks for the season. The very experienced Wacky Tiger also averaged 34.6 DT points for the season. The Monstars are rapt they have a player who can come in wherever and when required.

3121 premiers - Fumbler sacrificed his own game as a captain, and did the team thing by playing all 16 games in the FB position. He had 52 marks for the season and averaged 8.3 disposal for the season. Fumbler also averaged 31.5 DT points in season 25. 3121 premiers would be loving the oppurtunity this match will bring, when he is brought into the game in any other position then FB.

I would like to thank BLERN for helping me work out positions everyone played this season. And also JoshWoodenSpoon for all his help putting all this together.

Go the Red Hot Rookies.

#redhotrookies

Note - a lot of this was written before GF or Awards ceremony. (And I wasn't going to re-write it)

Blaze and Yakker are both in the squad. Yak won’t get picked because I’m the only one that plays in two teams at once.

As for Blaze, the final team is not yet finalised and there is a fitness Cloud_ hanging above some heads at the moment. Keep an eye out for a late change.....

Typical rookies, jumping in early, over confident, gonna spam this thread, then get smashed on Wednesday.
Your failure to accept the wave of change that has come to the SFA this season, will be your teams undoing come Wednesday, move over and make some room for the future.

Your failure to accept the wave of change that has come to the SFA this season, will be your teams undoing come Wednesday, move over and make some room for the future.
The future is bright, I'll give you that, but with thousands of games of experience, you will be outclassed, mark my words.

This will be a great learning curve for the future of the league.

Now if Runk and TedDougChris can keep fitzroybowiedog out as long as possible in the celebrations, it would help to nullify him on Wednesday.

Their Youth and ability to tag team him regarding the shots/shouts should work well.

I don't want fitzroybowiedog in any condition to play on Wednesday.

YearOfTheRoos should be able to smash the hell out of him then.
If there's anything we've learnt from our fearless leader, he's in the form of his Qooty life so that request will be akin to asking Zac Dawson to stop Wayne Carey in full flight.

Yes RHR our day is approaching. I'll tell you now that there's a lot of apprehension going on behind the scenes in the committee thread. Captains want to protect their legacy, they want to be able to speak of the good old days, want to baselessly yell that their draft class was the best ever. But they know that time is up. They're about to be comprehensively out-posted, and rigorously outplayed. The new era is here.
