F1 Returns to the Paul Ricard Circuit for the first time since 1990 (before my time). From what I saw of FP1 it looks like a very quick circuit with wide run off areas and some long corners. Reminds me most of the US/Bahrain/Abu Dhabi tracks. Expect this to favour the cars with a good engine, and Mercedes will finally have their upgraded engine available to them.

Huge smack into the barrier by Ericsson on Turn 11. Those lines did not slow him down anywhere near enough. Needed a gravel trap there.

Car was on fire and he sat there. He didn't even realise. Marshals seemed to react quite slow there.
 
Is Perez and Force India going to get a grid penalty for the lose wheel? Pretty dangerous you’d have thought....
