Has anyone watched Better Call Saul? I’ve seen the first 3 seasons recently and it’s pretty good. So many Breaking Bad characters have made an appearance. It’s been quite awesome to see what was going on before Walter White came into the picture.

Has anyone noticed how some of the scenes cut out mid dialogue, though? One example is Jimmy was listening to his voice mail in a season 1 episode and all you hear is “You have one new message. 5:40AM” and then the next scene started. That’s happened 2 or 3 times. I wondered if there was something wrong with my torrent but I am now sure it’s an expansion of the opening sequence

Holy crap and **** my life. I was all in the Bulls to select Michael Porter Jr at #7 if he fell that low. The Bulls instead draft Wendell Carter and Porter drops to #15. I can’t stand the Bulls FO. Absolutely no clue. Yes MPJ has a bad back but those things get healthy and he was the projected #1 pick not even 18 months ago. I am so disappointed.

'Those things get healthy'

Heaps of teams passed on him which means his medical report must have been horrendous.

Yeah, I worded that wrong. I read before the draft that apparently the Bulls were one of the only lottery teams t take a look at his medical reports. I wanted Porter but it’s understandable why he did drop so low and the Bulls went the way they did. I am happy to give Carter a shot and hope it all works out fine.

The problem I had with us not taking MPJ is that he really is a unicorn. Where as Wendell Carter Jr is going to be, at absolute best, a solid pro. Someone who might give you 8 and 8 a night. You can get guys like that anywhere. We are currently pretty awful with maybe one good piece in Maarkanen. So we're not challenging for a title anytime soon so how is Wendell Carter really gonna help.

We should have taken the risk on MPJ and if he turns into the Greek Freak/Durant kind of player! WIN! But if he busts and his health is no good, then no dramas, we will still stuck and have another go at the draft next year.

I am flying out to LA one Tuesday morning. All packed and everything I know I will be going to has been paid for (Disneyland, Cubs game). So all that is left to do is wait. I am excited for the trip but not the plane. I hate being stuck in one place for so long. I’ve been told to walk around and I will but only so much you can do that with the cabin crew walking up and down the same aisles constantly. I guess I will pack in as many movies and TV shows as I possibly can lol.

At least I depart from here on Tuesday at a time where I will know Tuesday mornings World Cup scores and land in LA a couple hours before Wednesday’s games (Australia’s group) are supposed to start and a few hours later Argentina’s group plays their matches. Pretty good time to depart and land actually.

I don’t understand the direction we went in with Porter still on the board and he made it past the lottery picks too. I guess the guys back is that messed up that no one took the risk but he seems well worth it anyway. To me anyway. As I said I will give Carter a chance to prove himself (nothing we can do about it now) but can’t help feeling this pick will just be an extension of the Bulls sucking longer that they would have had the pick been Porter.

Yeah not to mention we already have Maarkanen, Portis, Lopez, Felicio. Where are we gonna play Carter and where are his minutes gonna come from.

We need an athletic SF, a scorer. Our backcourt is ok, Dunn and Lavine. No idea where we are going or what the long term plan is. Garpax are rubbish.

You flying non-stop, or having a stop? Both times I’ve gone via Auckland so you get a short break after 4 hours. Even though they have heaps of movies on board, I loaded up my iPad with shows on Netflix, downloaded for offline viewing. On the way home from LA I flew out at midnight local time so managed to get a few hours sleep, then watched about 8 eps of the latest season of Orange is the New Black, which from memory, had launched a couple of days earlier...

Non-stop going to LA with Qantas. We had the option of Air New Zealand for a stop over in Auckland and then to LA for a couple hundred less but we wanted to get to LA sooner. Coming back home, since our last city is New York, we fly from NY to LA, have a 1 hour, 55 minutes transit stopover and then board a plane from LA to Melbourne. Not looking forward to that one at all, a 5 hour trip from NY to LA, 2 hours transit and then 13-14 hours from LA to Melbourne sounds brutal.

But I’ll do the Netflix on my iPad thing. It’s what my brother in law did earlier this year to Hawaii and he said it made the trip more bearable.

Flying across the US is brutal. Even domestic flights require you to be there a couple of hours before your flight to go through the body scanners etc...I did Seattle, Washington to Washington DC and that was about 5 hours, then New York to Texas, which was about the same...with time zone changes, whole day is a write off. Felt good getting a car in Vegas and driving to LA. 4 or so hours, but less constricted.

Also, train is a decent option in the US. I did Boston to New York on Amtrak, very pleasant.
