We've had a bad run with our debutants and newbies getting injured after like 2 games of AFL whilst playing good footy.
So far all of Ridley, Redman, Guelfi and Mutch have all played a couple of games then got injured to lose their spot and have to return via VFL. Only Guelfi managed to regain his spot within a few weeks. The annoying part is that none of them actually played a bad game at AFL level and they all would have been good chances to stay in the team otherwise.

Ridley's last game wasn't great.

When has a moonboot ever been precautionary?

s**t ****

For the last few years, 5 - 10 at a guess. For the foot equivalent of Treloar's hammies: could be a bruise, could be a fracture until we've had the scans to be sure chuck the moon boot on to protect it.

Also was tempted to leave in my typo of "until we've had the cans" taking medical treatment back 30 years :p

You can sorta add Begley to that list...

No one had a good game against Richmond that night eth. Very harsh.
I know that but like he wasn't great. It looked like he needed a spell in the two's.

8 weeks, terrible result, now imagining Francis in the seniors for 8 weeks....oh hang on....its getting hot in here

Feel gutted for the kid. Although i am sure its not half as bad as he will be right now.
Works his backside off to break into the team,
He then does so and performs well but then gets injured before he can establish himself in the team.

Hope we extend him because he looks like a real find.
