Cox is now 3rd in contested marks in the league. The guy is a serious threat and player now.

If he continues marking the ball and extraordinarily he can improve a lot he will be the number 1 headache oppo coaches will have and they will begin to plan their defense around stopping him. This will make the DeGoey's Elliot's, Stephenson's WHE's, Reid's all the more dangerous

Justin Maddem looked like a newborn giraffe for his whole career and he was born with the code. Happens when you are 6 foot plus plenty and relatively skinny.

What I like is you can see he’s getting footy smarter game on game.

Obviously an intelligent guy and a real hard worker.

Uses his height as a weapon of destruction.

Could just imagine the well balanced comments that would be flying around here right now if we had of traded Cox in the offseason and he was performing like this for other club.

it will be interesting to see if we do manage to get Lynch, what impact that would have on Cox. Whether both could play in the same team would be a question mark.

For now, He is doing really well and playing his role. You have to love those contested marks in defence as well. They were vital. If he can add that to his game, then he becomes quite the complete player.

The program on FoxFooty this week had his parents on stating that they were in the air on Independence Day coming to Australia to see him play.

BIg big step up in defensive marking. Still working out how to use his strengths in the game, but he looks to working some stuff out, he not only a newbie without any junior experience and very late to the game, but his body , size , shape , means that his game does not model of any of other players going around, he need to invent HIS game rather than seek to emulate other players to make the best use of his strengths but seems to be making some progress there.

He seems to be accentuating pushs and stuff right now (which I never like) either that or he's just at times doing the body stuff wrong and just being pushed out to easily, either way he needs to find a way to stay in the contest sometimes,

Mihoceks efforts are being overlooked by most. He is a terrific mark and set shot. His mobility and tackling is first class. Reid isnt playing in front of him.

(a) The Umpires are going to suddenly start umping differently? Never happen.

Focus on things you can control. the umpiring is not one of them.
