A number of VFL-AFL players have kicked 7 or 8 goals in a quarter, but none have been Fitzroy players.
To my knowledge, Richard Osborne is the only Royboy to boot 6 in a term, in the 3rd quarter of the epic Round 18, 1989, victory over Melbourne at Princes Park (Mobbs' favourite game).
Does anybody know if any other Fitzroy players have kicked a half-dozen majors in the one quarter?

In many respects, that 1989 victory over Melbourne at Princes Park had remarkable parallels with the 1987 win over Essendon at the same venue.
Competitive first quarter, blown away in the second, explosive third quarter, and went on with the business in the last.
We kicked 18.6 (114) to 8.2 (50) after half-time against the Bombers, compared to 17.8 (110) to 5.5 (35) versus the Demons.
However, the win over the Dees was more emphatic, plus Richard Osborne's 11 goals stands out as one of the all-time great performances by a Fitzroy player.
Doug Barwick booted seven in the victory over the Dons, but that was his last dominant game (on the scoreboard, at least) for the Roys.
Round 7, 1987
Fitz: 4.1, 7.3, 15.7, 25.9 (159)
Ess: 5.4, 13.6, 16.8, 21.8 (134)

Melb: 3.8, 10.8, 13.11, 15.13 (103)

Round 4, 1978 against South, the Roys kicked 10 in the last quarter. Beecroft & Wilson kicked 12 of our last 14 goals to turn a 32 point deficit at 3/4 time into a 19 point win. Bobby finished with 10 & Flea 7. Probably didn't either get 6 in the quarter though. Damn, I'd love to see that last quarter again. :)

I'd also love it if that last quarter was available on YouTube (if indeed the match was televised), FP.
Beecroft kicked 5, Wilson 4 and McMahon 1 in the final term of that epic victory over South (hopefully the link below opens).

Bobby also booted 5 in the 4-goal, night-series win over the Swans at Waverley on the Tuesday before the Junction Oval clash.
An interesting bit of trivia (which I'm sure you've mentioned in one of your quiz questions, FP) was that John Blair booted three goals for South in the night game, played in the Swans' loss on the Saturday, was cleared to Fitzroy sometime during the following week, then played in the first of our one-point wins over Hawthorn that year in Round 5 at Princes Park.

I can't remember any other Roys kicking 6 or more in a quarter. Bernie's 5 in the last quarter of the 1983 Qualifying Final were epic though.

I'm not 100% sure (and I couldn't see it in the link below), FP, but I think Bernie also booted 5 of his 8 goals in the last quarter of the Round 8, 1983, victory over Melbourne, also at the MCG.

Just as Beecroft and Wilson booted 17 of the Roys' 21 goals against South in 1978, Superboot and the Flea shared 14 of 18 in the 1983 win over the Demons.
I have a feeling that in the Round 4, 1984, win over Footscray at the Junction Mick Conlan kicked a lot of his 10 goals in the third quarter.
Maybe somebody who was at the game knows exactly how many Mickey booted in Quarter 3.

Missed two games in 1978, both due to family weddings, and that was one of them.

Nice to hear you get a run on the Coodabeens this morning, too, FP. :thumbsu:
